Solidly built. Consider open source software.
I like the build quality here; I feel like it will last and I don’t have any reservations about taking it into the field and maybe risking a bump or drop. It is a bit larger than I’d want ideally, but the cost is low and the value high. You’ll probably want your own probes, but that is pretty common.I tried both the manufacturers software and open source software (search “hantek github”). I prefer the open source app myself. It opens up some flexibility.

Good and affordable for home hobbyists
Pretty decent product for the money. The software is easy to use but does have a few oddities. Like, the run/stop should be the same button, not two different buttons. And, when trying to print, I can't get the measurements to print nor can I get the math waveform to print. Just channels 1 and 2.But, it is very handy and affordable for my home projects.

A bit slow but works well for troubleshooting basic circuits
I got this to troubleshoot arduino builds. It works well enough for that. Anything much faster might need a better o scope, but this one could be helpful too. Getting it to run with Linux was a bit of a pain. I used openhantek and at first it wasn't detected. I had to make some adjustments in the usb settings on my profile and reboot/log out and in again. Once it's working it's fairly easy to view the signal and get decent measurements. I didn't have to adjust one Probe, the other only took a slight tweak.
