Shutter Repair Slider Connector for Polysatin Shutter: Most shutters do not incorporate this type of opening/closing device, and they are very difficult to find. If your shutters do have this device, and some are broken, then this is the cure. My shutters are 25 years old, so a combination of age and daily use caused four sections to break over the past several years. When the fourth one broke, I quite procrastinating and searched out this replacement. Tip: Each of my shutters contained three of these strips, one of the strips in each set was broken, I used the broken section as a template to cut the replacement strip to size.

I ordered these to fix a set of shutter blinds I have. While the spacing between connectors is correct, the depth is actually a little deeper than the existing ones that were there. If you were going to be frugal and try to replace just the broken sets and mix matching, beware that it probably will not work since the tilt rod will have to bend to support the different depths. All in all the replacement was fairly easy, I just don't like the fact that these are basically one time use connectors since you will have to break them if you ever want to get them out. The second pic shows the tilt rod a little farther out than before, and the third pic shows the new connectors on the left side and the broken existing one on the right. I didn't mark this down any stars since it does work as a replacement and there was nothing in the description suggesting that the depth was different.

Worked very well. Repaired 3 different shutters on an average of 10 minutes each where 4 vanes on each required repair. I was very pleased at the ease with which I was able to accomplish the repair.

Starting to turn yellow already

We bought a house with these plantation shutters and many of the connectors were broken. Bought these and watched a YouTube video for directions. They are a pain to install but they worked out good. Good luck!

Too weak to turn any blades

These work for Plantation blinds. I have searched for a long time and these work. I thought it was expensive, but not as expensive as changing the blinds. I ordered more to repair another one.
