Motion X600 Portable Bluetooth Speaker with Spatial Audio, 50W Sound, IPX7 Waterproof, Pro EQ, AUX-in, for Home, Office, Backyard and Bathroom Use (Blue)

I have been a fan of Anker's Soundcore lineup for a while. I have the Flare 2, Motion Plus, Motion Boom, and Motion Boom Plus and while not the best sounding of the lineup it is my new favorite Anker has produced. First off the aesthetics. Except for the Flare 2 I'm used to speakers from them that frankly are rather ugly. Plastic and rubber with a metal mesh grill on the front. What a beauty this speaker is. I own a lot of bluetooth speakers and this is right up there with best. The look and feel of this speaker is just a pleasing all around. Of course if I bought speakers just for the looks I would likely not own what us arguabley one of the best affordable speaker brands out there. The Motion Plus has some of the best mids and highs, but lacks bass. The Motion Boom has the best bass of any speaker for its size, but is lacking on the highs. The Motion Boom Plus combines those two to deliver what I would consider the best sounding speaker of the lineup. The only speaker I think sounds better than the Boom Plus at its size would be the Tribit Stormbox Blast. Anything better than those cost twice the price and are a bit larger. Going a size down my favorite would be my JBL Charge 5. So where does this speaker fall? Well I would say it is a larger Motion Plus with bass that comes very close to the Motion Boom. It doesn't match up to the Boom Plus but it is also half the size. If we compare to my favorite speaker one size down the Charge 5 it destroys that speaker. I saw some reviews claiming this speaker lacked bass... No it definitely does not. It may not hit quite as hard as the M Boom, but that like I said has the best bass of absolutely all bluetooth speakers at its size and the gap here is very small. Suggesting it has less bass the the Motion Plus though could only be possible if their X600 is defective. Lastly the reason I'm a huge fan of Soundcore speakers is honestly because they have the best eq software out of any bluetooth speaker brand I have come across. You can truly tune your speaker to sound how you want it to with a tremendous amount of control. Most custom eqs have little change to the speaker. I mention this because except for maybe the Motion Boom Plus I have not had any speaker that sounds it's best with the standard Soundcore Signature tuning and this speaker is no exception. Out of the gate it is lacking a tiny bit in mid bass which might be what the other reviewers are complaing about with lack of bass as most speakers are mid bass forward. Even my Charge 5 had a little more mid bass out of the gate, but this trumped it on sub bass. You can even crank up the sub bass but too much and this speaker can't handle it and becomes a bit distorted at higher volumes. Overall this is hands down the best looking and nicest sounding speaker you will find at this price point. There is no smaller speaker that sounds better, so if you want better sound you will have to go larger. I highly recommend!

I found this gem after looking for a replacement for my Bose Mini Soundlink that served me well for more than 10 years. Unfortunately, the battery in the Bose finally died. I tried to replace the battery with one I bought right here on Amazon, but the system would not turn on. Apparently (based on the seqence of button flashes), the motherboard bricked itself, which seems to be a common problem with this model. I also tried the JBL Xtreme 5 for a couple of days but returned it as it was too heavy and had poor audio quality, in my opinion. But, I digress... So far, I'm extremely impressed by the X600. Here we have a very solid and thoughtful build. The all-metal body and an IPX 7 rating are terrific. The control panel is titled up and a nice angle so you can see it from across the room. The buttons are bright and responsive (you have the option to turn down the brightness in the speaker's app). The 5-driver speaker system is produces sound which is- in a word- breathtaking. The amazing sound comes from the X600's spatial audio algorithm, 5-channel amplification, and 9-band Pro EQ through a proprietary Digital Signal Processor (DSP). What this means is that you don't just listen to music on this speaker, you EXPERIENCE it (I know, sounds markety, but true). The highs are here and midrange for vocals is dialed in out of the box. The base is just about right...not too heavy and no distortion, even at higher volumes. You can play around with the equalizer presets in the app, but I found the default Soundcore setting works best for me. The 50W output is more than enough for virtually any sized room. Now, on to some interesting information for iOS users. While the speaker is perfectly compatible with iPhone Blutooth 5.3 which supports SBC, you're not getting the best quality audio with this codec. Let me emphasize here that SBC alone sounds super great as it is. I venture to say most customers don't know (much less care) about SBC verses higher bandwidth codecs, like LDAC, AptX, and others. However, if you're really picky like me, you might want to consider taking advantage of the built-in LDAC codec that the X600 supports. (To clarify, if you're streaming from any Android 8.x device, this section doesn't apply to you because apparently, most Android 8.x devices support LDAC out of the box). Unfortunately, LDAC isn't an option for iOS users (thanks Apple - obligatory eye roll). I think the theory here is that most iOS users would want to use lossless Apple AirPlay which goes over WiFi. Unfortunately, you're talking about expensive speakers at best or involving a bulky audio receiver, which defeats the whole purpose of a portable system. Apple, what were you thinking? In any event, what I did was pick up the Questyle QCC Dongle Pro2 [MFi Certified] USB-C Bluetooth 6.1 Audio Adapter (found right here on Amazon) which plugs right into my iPhone's USB port. The dongle allows you to connect your iPhone to the X600 through the QCC dongle instead of using your iPhone's Bluetooth radio. You then select LDAC or SBC in the QCC app to connect to the X600. Now, I sat in a quiet room and tried SBC verses LDAC on several tracks, and the LDAC does indeed sound richer. To me, it’s worth the extra $100 for the dongle for when I want the maximum quality experience. In terms of the hack, it has to do with the speaker's firmware. It turns out that LDAC is not enabled by default in the firmware of the X600 and you must enable it through the app. Unfortunately, you can't use the app without a Bluetooth connection and when you do that on an iPhone, the option to enable LDAC doesn't appear in the app because- you guessed it- LDAC is not supported by iOS, so the option simply isn't available. The work around is simple. Find a friend with an Android phone and ask them to install the app temporarily. Pair the speaker to the Android and go into the app to enable LDAC. It requires a quick download to the speaker and installation, but once completed, the LDAC is turned on and available to the speaker. That's it. You can unpair the Android device and delete the app if desired. Now, when you connect back with the iPhone and QCC dongle, LDAC, LC3, (and the default SBC) are all available. Don't worry- if you don't want to use LDAC or the dongle, the X600 drops back to using SBC automatically. So, again, for me, the added audio quality of LDAC when used with the QCC is worth the extra money, plus you're getting the best use of the speaker with iOS devices. As a side benefit, the QCC also improves the audio with many headphones, including the Sony MX6 which supports LDAC. The bottom line is that I love this speaker, LDAC or not. I'm so happy with it, I plan to order another one to keep the garage. Happy listening and thanks Anker for making another fantastic product!

I wasn't planning to replace my main room speaker. I just wanted something I could move around the house without sacrificing sound. What I ended up with is a speaker that made the permanent setup redundant. The spatial audio is the thing that catches people off guard when they hear it for the first time. Five drivers and five amplifiers positioned to push sound in every direction rather than straight at you. It doesn't sound like a speaker sitting on a shelf, it sounds like the room is the speaker. Standing in the middle of the living room with this going feels closer to a listening room setup than anything I expected from something portable and battery powered. Guests notice it before they notice anything else. 50W is real output for a speaker this size. It fills my living room without straining and handles a party without anyone asking to turn it up. The volume ceiling is high enough that I've never actually needed to find it, which is the right way to feel about a speaker you're using as a main room setup. It stays clean at high volumes too, no distortion creep where the bass gets loose or the highs get harsh. Portability was supposed to be the secondary benefit and ended up being more useful than I expected. I move it to the kitchen, the backyard, the patio, without thinking twice about it. The IPX7 waterproofing means outdoor use isn't a conversation I have to have with myself every time. It can handle rain, poolside proximity, the kind of casual outdoor situations where you'd otherwise be babying a speaker. 12 hours of battery is enough for a full gathering plus whatever spills into the next morning. I haven't once run out of battery at an inconvenient time, which is the actual measure of whether a battery claim means anything in real use. One thing worth doing out of the box: update the firmware through the Soundcore app before your first serious listen. The sound quality improvement after the update is noticeable enough that skipping it would mean forming your first impression on a version of the speaker that isn't what it's supposed to be. For anyone weighing this against a traditional home speaker setup at the same price — this is the better buy. You get the room-filling sound and you get to take it with you. That combination at this price point doesn't have much competition.

I had bought Anker ear buds last year which were excellent for the money so when I was looking and saw this speaker with a $50 coupon and high ratings, I pulled the trigger and ordered it without much thought. Being a musician who usually takes about 3+ months of research to buy any piece of audio equipment, this was a big step for me LOL. All I can say is that this speaker has been great so far. It's a very cool, clean, modern looking speaker. The construction feels solid and durable and having the handle to carry it around from place to place is more of a plus than I thought it would be. The sound quality is excellent, bass is very good at low to medium volumes but gets lost a bit when you really turn it up (or that could just be my aging ears), and it is loud! I didn't notice any significant distortion at high volumes and the overall clarity and presence of the individual instruments was very good. I tested a variety of musical genres (jazz, rock, pop, punk, ska, hip hop, rap, classical) and all sounded good to great. The Anker app is great and gives you more flexibility with the EQ settings as well as showing the battery level of the speaker. The voice prompt when you power on/off isn't obnoxious like some other speakers I've heard, it's just a tone but you can also turn it on and off in the Anker app. Since I already had the app for my earbuds, I just needed to add the speaker to my devices in the app (click of a button) and I was good to go. The battery life seems solid. It does take a while to charge fully (about 6 hours) but from what I read you can charge while using it in a pinch, but you shouldn't do that all the time or it can cause damage to the battery. I tend to listen at a fairly loud volume most of the time and after listening to music for about 4 hours using the BassUp and Spatial features on, the battery level is still showing as about 60%-65% so I'd expect to get about another 6-8 hours before I have to recharge. In short, I am very happy with the speaker and would definitely recommend it. I am definitely considering getting a second to have stereo pairing.

I was looking for a higher fidelity sound system for bathroom & shower, but not interested in the expense, bother, and inflexibility of built-in solutions. I've been using waterproof BT speakers for years, and while generally satisfactory (including Photive Hydra and JBL Clip 4), none of them exactly had a lot of "oomph". That's not a problem with Anker's Soundcore Motion X600. This hefty handful of brushed metal, speakers, amp, and batteries has enough muscle to fill a room, probably louder than you need if you're in anything smaller than a great room. It's a gorgeous thing to boot (got mine in a striking uncommon green that wouldn't be out of place in Oz's Emerald City), its attractive unvarying metal mesh finish and fixed metal handle making for a package that's somehow both obviously familiar and highly distinctive, a minimalist near featureless re-imagining of a boombox from decades past. Simple membrane touch controls sit discreetly on top alongside an upward firing speaker intended to contribute to the sound field; the handy fixed carrying handle serves double duty in ensuring that this top speaker isn't blocked by being set too close to an overhead shelf. Portability is good but not great. It'd be fine for travel by car and nice to have at a cabin or camp site, but not the sort of thing one would schlep onto an airplane, much less bring on a hike. The waterproof rating makes it a great fit for bathroom or pool side, though the large footprint may complicate placing it in tight spaces. The spatial sound features are about as much as one could expect of what's essentially a mid-size boombox, enhanced by selectable synthesized expanded sound field and bass boost effects (the extra bass is especially welcome in warming up the sound at lower volume levels). The surround effect is especially noticeable when listening to music, pushing the stereo sound stage out past the boundaries of the box itself - it increases battery consumption but except as casual background I wouldn't listen to music without it. The equalizer in Soundcore's app (I'm using it on Android) provides fine tuning of the sound with a variety of presets and the ability to save multiple graphic EQ settings (I keep a custom mix heavy on the treble for news and talk podcasts, but the preset offerings suit me fine for music). The app is also where you can select a higher-bandwidth LDAC connection if your phone supports it, but this shortens both battery life and Bluetooth range. It's a subtle but audible difference, although in most cases it's not enough to be worth the tradeoffs for me, so I usually turn it off. The one star off is for sound quality that, while very good, doesn't quite meet the expectations set by the breathless product description. For one comparison, I prefer the sound of Google's Nest Audio, but in fairness the Nest Audio doesn't run on batteries and can't get quite as loud as the X600. By default the X600's "out of the box" sound is not quite as "warm" as I prefer, although the equalizer can make up for a lot of that with careful tuning. The "surround sound" capability is also a bit oversold, at least to my ear. This is a solid BT speaker with reasonable portability, very good sound, some limited stereo/spatial capability, and impressive power.

I wanted to be blown away by this speaker, especially after getting it on sale over Amazon Days 2026. I'm considered a bit of an audiophile snob, by friends and family, have been since I was a kid. I've had a Motion+ now for awhile, that I really like, in small-medium spaces. I like it on my desk, as a desktop speaker and in other rooms around the house or out in the garage it's. Note that I prefer true stereo over DSP broadcast stereo, and these Soundcore speakers are True. I developed an interest in the Motion X600, as AI, as well as customers, rated it highly, in larger spaces. Due to the normal cost, I held off. When I saw it on sale over the Amazon Days, I waffled, and the wife said, it's Fathers day month, get it! I fell like a house of cards and got it. So IMHO, getting it on sale made it easy to rate it a 5 Star BT Speaker, i.e. worth the rating and what I paid for it. At it's normal pricing, $160 or more, it'd be more of a 3.5 Star rating, based on price vs sound, ease of use, and compared to other, similar priced BT speakers. There are a few quirks so make sure after getting the app and registering the speaker in it, check and install any updates. After the update there's a sound mode option called LDAC, which really improved the sound for me. Note, there was a warning that this mode could cause connection instability. I did not experience this in our home or yard, in rural America. With more BT signals in the city, this could be an issue? Anker Soundcore Speakers are good speakers!! Great if on sale ;) Cheers

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE FOR AUDIOPHILE ENTHUSIASTS!!! At last a device for those who love to hear all the instruments as they were meant to be heard all in a portable stylish package that looks great in any room or patio you set it in. Look if you like loud and extreme bass with little to no Stereo separation then this is probably not the device for you. But if you truly love music and want to submerse yourself into decently loud, resonating deep true bass, and clear sound that interprets everything you’re listening to with the purity that music should be listen to then the Sound-port X600 is the portable device for you.

This speaker is fantastic. The sound quality is superb. If you place the speaker in your face with every feature on it just eats you and it’s Amazing. You are surrounded by the sound all around, you can hear every background sound and emotion in the voice. It also is great for outdoor parties it’s got great volume. The shell is excellent quality and doesn’t slide around on slick surfaces. It’s worth the price!

Comincio subito col parlare del suo peggior difetto: l'ascolto con i controlli "extra bass" e "audio spaziale" disattivati, comporta un suono riprodotto del tutto deludente, in quanto spento, noioso, insignificante. Ciò, al contrario della maggior parte degli apparecchi concorrenti, che sono già in grado di riprodurre da subito, una qualità audio al 90 per cento delle loro capacità senza dover agire su specifiche regolazioni. Quindi, prima cosa da fare: attivare entrambi i due controlli, anche se a mio giudizio, l'"audio spaziale" si può lasciare disattivo, con risultati obbiettivamente migliori. Successivamente, occorre perdere parecchio tempo con l'equalizzatore, questo sì ben progettato, che permette di agire su ben nove frequenze. Alla fine, quello che si ottiene è una qualità audio notevole, se si considera anche il prezzo a cui viene spesso proposto, ben al di sotto dei 200 Euro di listino. Adesso passo ad elencare gli ulteriori pregi e difetti. Pregi: - costruzione estremamente robusta, struttura quasi interamente metallica, con materiali di pregio ed ottime rifiniture. Per dare un'idea della sua robustezza basti sapere che mi è caduto sul pavimento, da un altezza di 80 cm e l'ho raccolto pensando che si fosse rotta la maniglia o ammaccato da qualche parte e invece niente! Neppure un graffio. - App veramente ben fatta, con utilissimo equalizzatore. Diverse regolazioni predefinite di fabbrica e possibilità di poterne creare nuove. - Presenza del Codec bluetooth LDAC, che consente la trasmissione di contenuti audio ad alta risoluzione (Hi-Res). - Volume di riproduzione notevole, anche se i 50 Watt di targa mi sembrano abbastanza ottimistici. - Ben 5 altoparlanti, di cui quattro in configurazione stereo, due per i medio bassi e due per gli acuti e uno specifico per l'effetto 3D , cosa non comune tra i concorrenti, anche se la loro reciproca vicinanza non permette un effetto stereo apprezzabile, ma ne guadagna sicuramente l'ampiezza della scena sonora. - Suoni bassi abbastanza sostenuti e alte ben estese. Per cui l'ascolto è abbastanza appagante (sempre dopo aver effettuato le indispensabili regolazioni). - La maniglia ne permette una facile trasportabilità, nonostante il peso. - Presenza di un ingresso aux. - Possibilità di usare un qualsiasi caricabatterie USB-C per la sua ricarica. _ Autonomia della ricarica, intorno alle 10 ore. Dipende anche dal volume di ascolto e dal Codec utilizzato, nel senso che l'LDAC abbrevia le ore. - Impermeabilità IPX7, quindi lo si può tranquillamente esporre (eventualmente) anche alla pioggia. Difetti: - non un vero e proprio difetto, ma l'audio spaziale a mio giudizio è poco "spaziale". Per averne una sufficiente percezione, bisogna ascoltare a non più di un metro di distanza e soprattutto, peggiora la qualità delle frequenze medio alte, accentuando le sibilanti sulle voci, soprattutto le femminili. Io lo lascio sempre disattivato. - Altro difetto: l'ho già detto prima, dover intervenire sull'equalizzatore o sulle preimpostazioni, per avere una riproduzione soddisfacente. E qui mi fermo, perché non riesco ad individuare altri difetti. In definitiva penso che questo apparecchio abbia ben pochi concorrenti, soprattutto considerandone il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Maybe it's just me but I think there is too much hype over this x600. Oh it sounds amazing for it's size and the app is one of the best I've worked with. Build quality is superb. With spatial audio off it's just another boombox and an overpriced one at that. I've heard better for less Tribit makes excellent products. Spatial makes it beats all others. Not a gimmick...it actually creates a room filling hifi sound. Play hi res audio thru it and it's mind blowing. This can get real loud and I mean loud. Better than the Bose i've owned in all regards. The app allows custom audio settings so even the most fussiest people will find the sound they like. Instant bluetooth connect. Seriously this is a game changer in small BT speakers. The bass boost can be a little too much on certain music so I found myself keeping it off in the house in smaller rooms. Outside probably fine. The retail packaging alone is premium. You'd think it was a $1000 the way they packed it. Anker is good in that way. Make sure you charge to 100% before using it when it arrives. It took 3hrs for mine so it must come with a 50% charge. That is the one negative. Slow charge only. 5v 3amps is a joke. Fast charge is the new norm. I doubt 12hrs runtime is accurate unless you just leave it on with nothing connected to it. After a few hrs I decided to charge it and it took around 2hrs and I wasn't driving it hard. Of course there is no way of knowing the exact % of battery drain which is another negative. Even the app doesn't offer that info. Would have been nice to have a 100% to 0% gauge. Maybe next model will offer more features and better battery life. Slow charging is still ok planning use around that. I bought a padded case for it off of amazon. Got a refund and kept it because it was nothing like the ad stated. It's ok for storing it in to avoid dust etc but as far as other protection it offered minimal. Thin and cheap. So be careful which one you order. $29 is a joke dollarstore quality so was going to return it but told keep it and refunded. It's worth free. LOL Maybe there will be far better hardshell ones available or buy a case with removable foam inserts to custom fit it. Its worth protecting. 2 of these paired together would be amazing if you want mind blowing stereo. I might even invest in another if they go on sale again. It comes down do I recommend it. Oh yeah...no questions...it's that good. Don't expect too much from it and its great. They can only get so much from such a small speaker but it is stunning what Anker has done.

In its price range, and quite far above it, this has to be the best sounding BT speaker. Sure, there are speakers that will hit you with more bass, but not better bass. It is natural and well defined and does not overpower the rest of the frequency range. Mids and highs are also well balanced with a natural timbre and in no way 'in your face'. I have Spatial Audio and Bass Up enabled all the time and use the Soundcore app's EQ for fine-tuning. LDAC support is another feature contributing to sound quality. Build quality is very good. The aluminum grille and handle, combined with a solid weight, add to the premium feel. Portability is good enough for indoor and restrained garden use. I would not drag it of to the beach, despite the IPX7 rating. As you can see, I really don't have anything negative to say about this speaker. Just get one if it's a BT speaker you want and if good sound is a priority.
