6LBS Leca Expanded Clay Pebbles Hydroponics Supplies for Indoor Garden Plants (6LBS)

Good quality Leca. I bought a 2lb bag and it filled a typical shoebox container size or a 6in diameter pot about 8 in tall. I soaked the Leca for a few hours before boiling for ten minutes. My orchids are looking good and the substrate is attractive in my glass container

I am using these in my floating aquaponics set up in my aquarium. It took quite a bit of rinsing to get rid of the dust on them. They've worked well so far.

The media could not be loaded.  I’m fairly new to using leca but pretty versed in houseplants. This is the 3rd type of leca I’ve used. The first was some from my local plant shop. It work ok but was ugly and uneven and a lot of pieces kept breaking as I was washing it. The next was Cz. I love that one because it’s uniform and aesthetically pleasing. I am jot sure how well it’s working because the plants I’ve put are alive but their roots haven’t really attached to the aggregate. This one is not as uniform as Cz but pretty close and affordable. It’s also the 1st of the 3 that I’ve heard actually releasing the air bubbles as it soaks up water. Overall I’m satisfied.

Very simple to use, and my plants LOVE it!!!

Pros: Product is mostly whole and the dark clay pebbles are quite uniform in size. I use it under the potting mix in a container and looks very finished with it ontop of soil for indoor plants as well.CONs: What I don't like is that the bag arrived wet, which means you don't get 6 lbs of (dry) product. Don't know if this is a common practice to increase weight. I use only distilled or Ro water on my plants and because the pebbles are already wet, there was not much room for the right plant water. Who knows where this leads with my tropicals, so far they're quiet and haven't quit.

I got this as an experiment. Living in southern Louisiana where it is humid, I wanted a medium additive that would allow me to water my orchids and not have them hold water. I approve. I have reported all 14 of my dedrobium phalenopsis orchids. All are making new leaves and roots..

Fast shipping, love that they’re not all perfectly round it’s so much better for my plants in my opinion. I used one bag to repot my monstera and it it’s in love with its new home.

Nothing everything was great

The media could not be loaded.  I wish there was more in the bag, but the Leca that was in there was basically ready to use. I rinsed it a couple times and let it sit for a few hours, and there was little to no clay residue. Great quality.
