EXTREMELY PLEASE WITH MY CHOICE OF THIS MODEL
Choosing a smart toilet is difficult, because even within the same company, the various models can be so similar in specifications and appearance. After much study, and eventually in consultation with Lee from Eplo, I chose the DP7 Pro. I didn't want to wish I had the tank after the fact, because my water pressure isn't always great. Consequently, I have had zero issues with flushing or other functions.Delivery was quick, and the toilet was in perfect condition. Installation is straightforward, in theory, but individual circumstances may vary. For me, I had two challenges: the weight and the location of my water inlet. I could not negotiate the weight, targeting the mounting brackets and wax ring by myself or even with an assistant. I literally needed three people due to the limited space. Once placed, the rest was relatively easy. In my particular case, the location of the water inlet was too close to the toilet, no matter what I tried (e.g. short, 90° anglestops, etc). I ended up having to mount/direct the inlet valve inside the toilet's rear open cavity. This is advised against by the manufacturer, but I had no choice. I can still access the shutoff valve, but it certainly wouldn't be easy or obvious to anyone else. Once this issue was overcome, it was on to the toilet itself.Everything worked perfectly, and as it should. The toilet washes itself very well 99% of the time, and the heated seat, lighted bowl and other features are all effective and well thought out. I did have to contact Lee with some minor functionality questions, but he was extremely responsive, knowlegeable and helpful. Here's a tip: although the auto-seat open/close is attractive, it's only viable if you have a true water closet, or your toilet is located physically apart from the rest of the bathroom, otherwise due to its sensitivity, you'll trigger it every time you walk past. The auto-open/close can be deactivated, which I reluctantly did. So, if your situation is like mine, you might skip this feature and save some money.I can recommend this model highly. Everything works well, and it has every feature you could want. I have zero regrets in chosing this Eplo model. I have some unfounded worry for how long everything will continue to work perfectly and what would happen if a component should fail, but Lee assured me that this model has been "battle-tested" overseas since 2022, and is solid and reliable. I am hopeful that this proves to be the case with mine as well.

this toilet is a proper throne!
It seemed a big risk to spend so much on a newly designed toilet but my wife thinks I'm a wizard for choosing and installing it, and she's a tough critic (coming from Asia where bidets are common and where Japanese bidets can be very expensive). It really warms the water and seat and air for an all around superior morning ritual experience.Installation was complicated by the fact that I didn't initially realize there are compression and NPT threads on the adapter. The mfgs supply a 3/8s adapter which creates a 2nd connection between the bidet 3 way valve and the supply line, but I found it easer to replace the wall valve to a 1/2" NPT connector and eliminate the 3/8s adapter, reducing the drip, drip drip I was getting with the adapter going from NPT to compression threads (because the threads on the adapter were 1/2 a rotation too short to properly tighten, I believe, at least with my 3/8" valve stem). So my suggestion is don't use the adapter if you have a 3/8" wall valve. Use a 1/2" NPT valve instead to directly attach the bidet 3 way connector. Also, inspect the bidet connector for inner O-ring location (it seems to twist out of place easily during installation) and if you have a clean urban water supply just get rid of the screen and 0-ring completely to avoid it causing more problems than it solves.Once I'd done that I had to contend with the fact that getting the toilet to lower vertically to perfectly align with the stability guides that come from the mfg was too difficult because the toilet is too heavy to lower vertically without using some special jacks of some sort. So I got the wax ring properly attached to the toilet and then "tipped" it into place and properly secured it then with construction glue and grout so as to anchor it. And then let it cure in place for a day before using. This worked for me, although it's not optimal (will have issues someday removing it). But since there is no way on the smooth sides for anchor bolts something has to be done and I think my choice works and the result is clean and easy to maintain and unlikely to slip. The result is a "smart toilet" that has all the bells and whistles for a good price and what appears to be very good construction/quality.
