I absolutely love this design. It is subtle and pretty. I also wanted this dinnerware because its white and not a creamy or grey shade of white. The bowls are a bit big - I would have preferred smaller ones. Generally, this was a good purchase. Wish this particular tableware was easier to get hold of.

I love this set, I have already 8 of each and needed a few more for when we receive more friends over. Great value for money, love the design, it's very resistance and ease to clean.

Beautiful set for 4 people, including a large dinner plate, a small plate, good sized cup (I guess around 300-350ml) and big bowls (great for soup!). I ordered 2 sets and was a bit worried about reviews complaining about broken pieces. My sets were very well packaged and everything arrived in great condition. I think that the shade of white is gorgeous and the design is just enough to add interest. Very-very happy with my purchase and already ordered the matching salad bowls.

Got this at a very good price. The set is just what I wanted - white with an embossed pattern to add some interest and seems to be of good quality. However - it would be nice to have the plate/bowl dimensions in the product description so it makes it easier to buy additional items. Just a general thing - I wonder why dinner sets are for four people, when it's more usual to have 6 or 8 settings?

They are lovely... sadly the set arrived broken so it has been sent back so no sturdy whatsoever.. sadly

More like fine stoneware,offwhite. I bought three sets, all had broken pieces, not packed properly inside the box, looks like they had been undone people had put the pieces back improperly so they were tight which caused some of the crockery to break in pieces.

Our children have been nagging us for ages to replace our old Denby (Colonial Blue which is sadly discontinued) dinner service. We’d had it for going on thirty years and we’d lost bits over that period. We originally had eight of everything but we were averaging six or less! We had been given some Amazon Christmas gift vouchers, so we decided we would finally bow to the pressure and acquire some new crockery. We worked on the principle that plain white would be easier to mix and match, and that the dimpled pattern on this China was more attractive than something that was completely plain. We did lots of research and went for this set. We decided against the set with the mugs as we have a cupboard full of them! We ordered two sets of four. Everything arrived well packaged and mercifully in one piece - no breakages or returns! We do struggle with getting the dinner plates in the dishwasher as they are slightly larger than our old Denby but we can manage (and we probably load less in the machine so maybe the dishes are cleaner!). I have to point out that the crockery is not bright white - it’s a slightly creamier colour, but no less attractive. Overall I would recommend this - and the fact that you can buy individual items is very useful (don’t ask!!)

The set is nice. However, the packaging is not suitable for online deliveries. Ordered three sets and two of them arrived completely smashed. Had glass pieces all over the floor when open the boxes. Promptly replaced by Amazon, but now I have to deal with the return of broken sets, which is an issue if you live in a city and rely on a public transportation to get into the post office. The sets are quite heavy.

This porcelain dining set is good for everyday use and easily elevated for a formal dinner party. I highly recommend it. Maxwell & Williams don't disappoint on quality.

Sono belli spessi. Peccato che a causa degli imballaggi poco curati, spesso arrivino rotti. Meno male che i resi sono facili. Si lavano benissimo in lavastoviglie. I piatti fondi hanno una forma a ciotola

We love these dishes! However, 2 boxes arrived today, each with 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, and 4 bowls. Unfortunately, in one box, 2 of the bowls arrived broken. My efficient husband had already opened everything, put what arrived unbroken in the dishwasher, and flattened all the cardboard pieces for the recycling pile. It turns out that the only way I can return the 2 broken bowls via the Amazon policy is to somehow rebuild the boxes and repack everything and send it all back and then reorder 1 box of 12 items and hope they all arrive in one piece. I would hope that with photographic evidence, 2 bowls could be sent to replace the broken ones. I plan to contact the company directly with fingers crossed! The dishes themselves are beautiful.
