I was looking for more of an eye cup, something to keep the sun from shining directly on my eye when the sun is low on the horizon. This did not do that, however, I was able to trim the soft silicon to create more of what I was looking for. It was easy to attach to the camera and was as described. And the silicon was soft enough to trim and still be comfortable.

The eye adaptor is really cheap, thin and not nice to use. I have put it aside to be used only in case of extreeme need (and this because I have already purchased it. If I could I would return it. It does not match the pictures in Amazon

Just purchased my r10 and found the original eye cup too shallow and hard. It would let stray light into the viewfinder on sunny days. This extended eyecup was super easy to install with the included screwdriver and screws. With it installed, the soft silicone is comfortable around the eye and provides a little more distance from the camera to the face. The camera should have come with this; highly recommend it!
