Made my own pistachio ice cream with the LorAnn Oils Super Strength Flavoring, and it came out tasting amazing. Wasn’t too confident at first when I opened the bottle and smelled the liquid, seemed bitter, therefore very carefully, drop by drop, added it to the mixture. Super Strength is right, just a little resulted in big flavor. Will be making other products/recipes that require pistachio flavor. I expect the 1 fl oz bottle lasts for about 8 to 10 recipes. Definitely will also try some of the other flavors.

I bought pistachio flavoring oil hoping for rich, nutty gelato vibes. Instead, I accidentally created a frozen dessert that tasted like it was formulated in a haunted candle factory. I added it to a pint of soft serve, and one drop too many turned my ice cream into a chemical attack. The flavor profile was somehow equal parts cough syrup cherry, expired almond extract, and the scent of budget pink bathroom soap scraped directly off a gas station sink. There was no pistachio. Not even a rumor of pistachio. If an actual pistachio were in the room, it would file a defamation lawsuit. The aftertaste lingered with the confidence of a bad decision, and I’m fairly certain the roof of my mouth now has the texture of lightly sanded drywall. I didn’t eat dessert—I survived an incident. 1 star only because the bottle successfully held liquid.

I love pistachio flavoring, and one day I thought that it would taste great in my coffee. I had no idea if it would work, but I decided to get this anyway. And. I'm glad I did. This works great in my coffee. It tastes very authentic, and the extract stands up to the heat of the coffee well. The ingredients seem to be great, and it's a good value. It's more flavorful than buying flavored coffee. Here is my only issue. I wish it came with a dropper. I don't know why it doesn't. So I found a bottle of a beauty product that had the exact same size lid, but with a dropper. That made putting it into my coffee so much easier. Overall, this is great extract if you want to use it in your coffee. I can't attest to its use in anything else, but for coffee, it works!

I used 1/2 tablespoon of pistachio for one quart of ice cream. Yes it had a chemical taste, but still edible. Next time, I will use 1/2 teaspoon and add drops if needed. I don't want to overpower the taste of the pistachio nuts. Bottle size: 1 ounce

I purchased this as it was rated highest in a number of Pistachio flavorings on the market. My first attempt using this was to enhance homemade pistachio ice cream. I used a cap full and the chemical aftertaste/burn was terrible. I made a second batch and only added a few drops. The result was much better. This is an ok flavoring when used sparsely.

I love these flavoring oils, but you do need to be aware that they are super potent. I recommend getting a dropper to go on the bottles. Most recipes only need a few drops and the strength will ruin your recipes if you overdo it. That said, if you get the amount right, they are lovely favoring oils! So easy to use and are great for coffee, ice cream, baked goods, etc.

Tastes like kerosene and oranges. Does not have a nutty flavor it all and tastes quite bad. This will ruin anything with just a few drops. If you do decide to try it. Try a very small sample 1st before moving forward.

I bought this extract to put in my coffee. When I received it, I wanted to try it so I put a swipe - not even a drop - onto my finger and onto my tongue. My tongue immediately starting burning with all the fires of hell itself. I had to rinse my mouth out for 5 minutes straight just to slightly tame it. That's when I realized that the SS in the description means Supertraquillion Strength. Obviously it was too strong to use on its own so I got the brilliant idea of adding it to milk and then heating the milk up to maybe dissipate the alcohol or to knock the potency down. I used a pint. Not enough. Then I used half a gallon. Still not enough. I added it to a whole gallon and it was still WAY too strong. After heating it up, it stunk my whole house up and made it smell like toilet bowl cleaner. My whole family was walking around with their shirts pulled up over their noses, it was so bad. Finally I figured out the solution: I poured it down the drain. I would not be surprised if the local water treatment plant detected it as nuclear waste. Total waste of money and milk. DO NOT CONSUME EVEN A DROP OFF THIS STUFF WITHOUT PUTTING IT INTO A SERIOUSLY HUGE AMOUNT OF SOME OTHER LIQUID OR FOOD!

Works great! It is indeed super strength, I added 1 tsp to my cake and it came out a little too pistachio-y but the flavour is good, it has both the smell and flavour of pitaschio.

Too strong and over powering for my taste.

If you’d like pistachio ice cream, you need to send her life. I actually put mine, half a capful in my diffuser. My whole house smells like pistachio ice cream and I could not love it more. The smell and the taste is utter perfection. I’m going to make ice cream this afternoon. I will be ordering this product and perhaps some other flavours for many years

I made a batch of pistachio ice cream, and I put too much of this flavouring in it. It had a very strong almond extract flavour and smell which was odd. I used a lesser amount in a second batch and found it to be more like almond than pistachio.

Terrible. Pistachio is way too strong and unusable.
