Confessed pencil nerd here, with a small but slowly growing collection, love Mitsubishi and Tombow wood case 9800 & 9850 hardness, the dark and light green, and the red HB Mitsubishi are good comparisons, along with the hard leaded Blackwings, but these Woomers I reach for every day now, I think a bit firmer lead than all the rest in my collection, and the finish is so eye catching and pretty, neon pink and navy. Classic retro fun. Will purchase again.

They write/ draw really well -- dark without being "mushy .". A reasonably priced substitute for Blackwing.

The lead is the perfect amount of soft to sketch with. I bought these with the intent to use them as "throw around" pencils at my college so I could leave them around and not be upset if I lost them, however, I actually fell in love with them and hoard them because they are perfect. They sharpen to a perfect point. I prefer a soft lead and this is so perfect, it doesn't break with pressure yet erases easily. Also, so cute!

These pencils have a bright pattern to the wood barrell. The pencil writes smoothly and does not easily break. The eraser is a soft material that erases rather than smudges. This is a great set of pencils.

These are great pencils - easy to use, good quality, and work well for school work or art projects.
