Very solid design. Not a cheap feeling mount. My biggest issue is installation. When it says cut the piece 1" long, make sure you cut it 1" long. Keep it a straight cut. When it says to place the piece in the bike and measure and mark on the piece to make the first cut, push it down a good bit. Not super forcefully but don't just set it in there. Put some force on it. then mark it. Maybe make the cut 1/16" higher up than that too...and then make sure the cut is flat and smooth. Measure the 1" from there and make sure it's as close to 1" as possible. Make that cut flat and smooth too. This probably doesn't make sense before purchase, so purchase it and then come back here after you have read the instructions. It is a big mount. I have an 04 CBR 600 RR. Works like a charm and much better than anything else on Amazon. I tried others.

I just installed this on my SV1000 a few days ago and I thought I would share a useful tip for getting the NUT POCKET WASHER to grip to the EXPANSION PLUG. After spending 45 minutes following instruction #4, pre-tightening the expansion plug more and more until it was almost impossible to push into the stem, I called Ram’s customer service rep for some advice. The customer service rep asked me if the plug was in the fork stem while I was trying to tighten the expansion plug and a couple other primitive questions, he then asked me to take pictures. The phone conversation went absolutely nowhere. In my frustration I found out that if you gently pull up on the assembly (Light enough that the plug doesn’t come out) you put enough pressure on the NUT POCKET WASHER so that it grips the EXPASION PLUG and tightens the assembly. This simple trick should be in the instructions. The lock nut they use takes a lot of grip by the NUT POCKET WASHER to tighten and keep from spinning inside the stem.

I accidentally bought the version that mounts to the fork tube, which didn’t work at all for a DR-650. The c-clamp version would be way better. I was able to rig it onto the ignition bolt with a little bit of “trimming” and it is super sturdy. I’ve ridden down mostly dirt roads at 40-50mph and not lost the phone yet!

Had to return the small one because it sat on the buttons. This large one fits my S22 perfectly. Rubber band snapped on FIRST use, but my phone does not move in this mount. I feel it's important to mention I have an OtterBox Defender series case on my phone, so it's a rubber mount on a rubber case. A con would be that the actual fork mount isn't perfect. The rubber insert they provide needs to be cut to fit, and one side is too small, the other is too big. I had to use the small side and overtighten, and the mount does rotate in the triple tree with little effort. This has not been an issue for me, as it doesn't rotate around while riding. This is in a cbr1000rr 2017-2023.

I absolutely love ram mounts. I have one on my sv650 and now this larger version on my 08' GSXR. Both work amazing! do let me say though it's insane how big of phones this holder can hold. I thought my phone was pretty big but this thing would be able to hold phones twice the size. Amazing product holds perfect while riding. 10/10

Horrible product. Just go with rokform. Dont waste your time with the "center fork stem mount option." Swivels left and right uncontrollably. God forbid you over-tighten it and it's then useless, coming with only one rubber that I measured 2 times to ensure it was correct, yet here we are... I honestly was just so put off by this product. It is not as amazing as people think. It's big, bulky, and just dumb. Sorry. Rockform ALL THE WAY, sleek, slim, STRONG, SIMPLE INSTALL... Sorry RAM mounts, you're just not getting somewhere with this trash.

This will take around 30min to install and you will need a razor blade and a 3mm hex. I have a 2009 CBR1000RR and the stem hole is pretty big. The skinny end’s circumference is useless for these bikes and the fat end is too wide which is why you’ll need a razor blade. Use the razor blade to slowly whittle away rubber while keeping a slight angle to the stopper. Eventually you get it skinny enough to slide in with a little resistance. If you make it a little too skinny and it’s just spinning I’m the tube, lightly hand tighten it to expand the rubber just enough so that it’ll grip the inner fork tube when tightening. Really, this isn’t hard to do. Way too many weak complaints on here

The installation was a bit daunting. However, the provided instructions helped a good bit. It requires cutting a rubber spacer to length depending on the diameter of your fork tube. The reason for the 3 stars is , once you get the mount installed, the bracket tends to swivel a bit where the ball mount connects to the rubber spacer. The rubber material is so rigid, that the teeth on the washer does not bite into the material, which prevents the user from being able to tighten it adequately. Overall, it does the job. I don't mind having to readjust my phone after an aggressive turn. Most importantly, the mount firmly holds my phone. I have no fear of it jarring loose and my phone hitting the pavement.

When installing the first time following the instructions, it didn't work so well. The tapper at the top didn't fit the fork stem. After ignoring the instructions and realizing I needed a rubber washer between the fork stem and the mount, it worked a lot better.
