I wouldn’t recommend it - the reservoir is just plastic and, depending how how the water is, it may warp it or the center piece that holds the filter. It also wouldn’t stay hot for long - it’d be like filling a plastic cup full of hot water.

Q: Can this be used in a gecko terrarium?

I don’t know if anyone is going to know the answer to this but I can tell you that it does run out of water in about 6-8 hours so I wouldn’t say it’s a reliable source of humidity for an animal if that’s what you’re looking for.

Q: Does this produce excess moisture? We’ve had issues in the past with humidifiers making everything in the room damp.

It’s so small that it doesn’t make everything in the whole room damp but it does a little with things right around it. But it’s hardly noticeable for me though. Just don’t have paper directly around it. I love it.

It only works when plugged in. You cannot just charge it and unplug to use. 😫
