FASCINATING. A tour of polymers, their chemistry, manufacture, use and the green credentials of the most used. Then a deep dive into the other omnipresent materials allowing us to see how plastics sit within the wider ecological impacts of consumption.

Mostly the science in this book is very good, and explains why plastics are often the better, more sustainable material for many applications.Could do with a bit of editing as it does jump around a bit, and some of the definitions are not correct.

What I really liked was the unbiased, well-researched document that is so important at this time.Not an easy read, it's not meant to be entertaining
