DK TOP 10 Milan and the Lakes
Used for 4 days in Milan, 5 days car hire to Lake Garda. This is a big area to cover. The 'Top Ten' format is ideal to quickly sift through the offerings then make your own mind up so you feel nothing importrant has been missed. Quality paper, laminated pull out maps,very readable, excellent photos lots of advice and snippets. Moke handbag than pocket. Ideal if pressed for time or on a fortnight tour. Space limits advice on establishments to eat or stay. I like DK and this is one of their best.

we are just back from long weekend in Milano, this guide book was a great help. Maps, timetables, prices all updated. It is a light, pocket / small bag size guide, no trouble to keep it on you all the time.

Milan Travel Guide book
Arrived quickly, well packaged and book was in great condition. Love to get these books before we go away so I can plan what to do and see. Very informative for both before the trip and small enough to pack in the suitcase to refer to whilst there. As previous reviewer said a map of train/metro or tram routes would have been very useful but easy to pick up train maps when in Milan and all metro stations are informative. Beware of taxi drivers charging approximately 90 Euros from Malpensa Airport to Milan central when the Malpensa express train costs 11 Euros each and is a quick 30 minutes ride on clean Italian trains. If you buy a train ticket at the airport (or any other station) you must get it stamped at the ticket machine on the station platform before boarding the train else the conductors can fine you for not doing so This book is well worth the cost.

DK Top Ten's are always the best guides for mini breaks. this gave us the best hot spots to hit on our cheeky 2 day trip to Milan, just need to go back to check out the lakes!

High quality
These guides have lots of pictures and snippets of info. The paper is very high quality, I wouldn't have it as my only guide, I have them as a supplementary to a Time Out or Rough Guide which have more in depth knowledge. The maps are not good for me I prefer a smaller area with more streets labeled.

Great Pocket size guidebook
Definitely recommend this series of books as they show the important sights of the city and also those less visited. Handy foldout map is included!
