Easy to install and fit like original.

For the price I paid for this mirror, I expected to have a somewhat "cheap" experience. Well, I am actually very surprised. It has been installed on the truck for about two months, and is handling the lovebug season with aplomb. It is not as well made as the original, as it is not sealed around the perimeter of the glass with caulk, nor is it as heavy. However, it seems to be doing the trick for now. I left my original mount on the truck and simply swapped the mirror with arm, cover, and clamping bracket over to it. If you really do not want the mirror to move, then tighten down the bracket as much as possible BEFORE you put the cover on. Once it is installed, you will be hard pressed getting it off without breaking the plastic clips holding it on. I have a feeling that you would have to take the mount and mirror off from the door to access the releases for the tabs. I do not expect it to last the nearly 30 years of the original, but for the price paid, if it lasts 3, I will have made out like a bandit!

This mirror was easy to install and looked as good as the factory mirror on my 89 GMC C1500 however on the first trip I noticed that the quality of the mirror glass is extremely poor. It produced a double and distorted image. Objects seemed further away than they really were, which is the case with most mirrors however with the distortion, double images and ghosting I felt that it created an extremely dangerous situation to rely on the mirrors image. I definitely do not recommend that anyone purchase this product. I am looking for another replacement mirror. I gave this product a one star only because of the easy install process.

Great product. Fit perfect. Looks and performs just like original at a very reasonable price. Included new hardware and mounting gasket. Could not be happier with this purchase.

This mirror has some visual distortion when looking in it, at distant objects. The same brand is sold by Oreilly's. I tried 3 different mirrors by Dorman until finally finding one made by a different brand that had no distortion problems.

I bought both sides, to replace my rusted black ones on my 88 chevy. The chrome and glass is beautiful, seems very high quality. They come with new hardware and gaskets as well which is a very nice surprise.

The product fits perfect, and is relatively simple for a diy replacement. The mirror itself is zoomed in so I see less, I was lucky that I still have my original passenger mirror so I can see over. I am pretty sure this mirror is put on backwards as the reflection is very distorted. Better than nothing but c'mon.

Fits very well and is like the original I just put the arm and mirror head onto my existing bracket on the door

Bought 2 mirrors for my truck.Passenger side is great drivers side mirror was distorted.Sent it back and ordered another.Same issue it kept the second one as l have gotten use to it, but the glass used in this mirror is not right..😟
