This was a present. I think it was liked & made up but haven't seen the end result.

Great introduction to coding
This was a present for my 9yo daughter, and she absolutely loves it. She really enjoyed building the UFO and decorating it, and diligently wired everything up to the microbit. Once I'd walked her through the first sample project she tore through the next half dozen by herself, and she found the on-screen visual coding system really easy to use. As well as teaching her some basics on coding - variables, loops, interfacing with devices, etc - it's helping teach her about other things too. She had no idea how magnetism worked, but playing with the example where you bring an external magnet closer to the microbit's compass and writing some code to react to it taught her a lot.Binary Bots:- top-notch customer service. The UFO arrived with one missing piece, but I emailed them that evening, they replied next morning and the replacement piece (plus lots of others) arrived the day after. Mistakes do happen, but I couldn't have hoped for better service from Binary Bots. Other toy manufacturers take note!

Box had been opened
I bought this as a present for my grandson. When I inspected it I noticed the product seal had been broken. All the contents seem to be present but I am unable to check the BBC micro bit controller until Christmas day...I hope it is undamaged.
