I'm a paper and pen purist when it comes to writing, so when I bought an iPad Air at the end of 2024, I wanted to use it for the convenience and power of technology married with the feel of writing on paper. I didn't like how the default Apple Pencil Pro tip felt in terms of trying to write, both on my screen protector and on the bare screen. Thankfully, these metal pencil tips make it easy to write accurately and quickly, as expected. Just be aware that if you also doodle and press down hard on your screen like I do, you will probably scratch your paperlike screen protector as others have said. (Duh. It's metal.)

You can definitely tell these pencil tips are great quality right out of the box. Of course they look great. I’m using them on my Apple Pencil 2gen and I they feel so smooth when writing notes. I’ve had several cheaper tips from Amazon and I can say the writing experience with the elago tips is far superior. They do NOT come in a case and you only get 2 for the price of the 6-8 tip kits of the other Amazon ones, but this would be my recommendation if you are looking for a great go to writing tip.

Out of all the pencil tips i've tried, this one has to be my favorite, both aesthetically and functionally. The plastic is clear and shiny, super nice and doesn't look cheap at all. Very accurate to the product image! Makes my pencil look so beautiful I honestly just sit there and admire it sometimes lol Also i'm an artist and this pencil tip, other than the offical apple ones, has given me the best pen pressure + drawing feel + accuracy. Not sure if this is an issue for anyone else, but a lot of the cheaper nibs either make my lines wiggle or the pen pressure is super off. Yes, it will wear down and scratch your paper-like screen protector overtime, because like another reviewer said, this thing is metal. Your paper-like protector will similarly wear the metal tip down too, that's just how it works. Anyway, going back for my second pair!

This product has Great value. I take at least 3 pages of notes every day during the semester, and one of these tips lasted me just about 12 weeks which is about 3 times as long as typical Apple pencil tips. It did not wear down quickly, though it does eventually wear down which is very important to note. Metal tips absolutely have to be used with a screen protector (i use a paper feel one) if you like your iPad. This one did not scratch the screen protector until about 10 weeks in. This isn't a problem with this product it specific because eventually all tips metal or not will begin to file down into a sharper point, just like a normal pencil as you write with it. For me, the tip and the screen normally need to be replaced at the same time, so it works out well, but that is dependent on the brand of the screen protector. Easy to install and use. Highly functional, increases sensitivity.

My biggest concern was it scratching my screen protector (ESR tempered glass), but after all the reviews and whatnot, apparently that’s highly unlikely on anything other than a PaperLike type protector, and I can now confirm that’s true. It works very well both my Gen 2 and Pencil Pro, it threads on without issue, and honestly the aesthetics are amazing. Great product overall, and very happy I got it.

I like it and it does work but just like the other reviews it does scratch my paper like screen protector. And it’s not like I’m pressing down hard. I actually have a light hand and it still scratches. Don’t like that part about it.

Functional and easy to screw on the pencil. I love a ball point pen so this is amazing for me if you don't like ball point pens you probably won't like this pencil tip. I love the way it writes and it truly feels like a pen! I do have a paper like screen protector so that helps with stability but the pencil tip over all is GREAT! I've also never had any issues with connection I love the style and aesthetic aswell, I would buy again!

Pencil nibs are 100% personal preference, so take my review with a grain of salt. I got these to replace my original apple pencil nib which has a dent in it, and I prefer these over the original feel. It's scratchy, but also more precise. As a fast writer, there's more definition and separation in my chicken scratch using these nibs as opposed to the OEM one. I use these over a paper-feel screen protector, so your mileage may vary on a glossy surface.

idk what it is but clear apple pencil tips are so hot, esp when they’re that gold colour. this nib feels great paired with the esr paperfeel screen protector, and they’re quite cheap for what feels like good quality tips. definitely worth the pennies

I’m an illustrator and use my Apple Pencil with Procreate. For this purpose this tip is awful, there’s a delay between what you draw and the line appearing in the app. I never have this problem with the official tips, it makes drawing impossible.
