Devoko Outdoor Storage Shed 5 x 3 FT Lockable Metal Garden Shed

I was really debating whether to give this 3 or 4 stars, but here's my experience with it. First of all, it's not actually 5 feet by 3 feet. The description does mention this but I was still surprised to find how small it was once I started building it. It's actually about ½a foot smaller in each direction. I found it fairly easy and straightforward to assemble but as an auto mechanic I'm pretty good at figuring things out by looking at them. I agree with some of the other reviews that the assembly instructions are vague and somewhat unclear. It wasn't too hard for me to figure out what goes where but I could see how it could be difficult for those who aren't as inclined to building things without clear instructions. Overall I am happy with it even though it only fits one of the 2 shelf units I had intended to put in it. Be sure to assemble it on a VERY flat surface! My yard is mostly a steep hill. I dug an area out of the hillside for it and put down wood as a base but I had a hard time lining up the roof panels because the ground wasn't as flat as it needed. I ended up drilling new mounting holes to install the rear section of the roof panels to make up for the uneven ground. The biggest problem I noticed after it was assembled was when the first rain came and it leaked water inside from the rear section of the roof panels down the back wall, but I don't know that this is a defect in the design of the shed as much as the trouble I had lining up roof panels due to the uneven topography and the fact that I built it with the back of the shed against a cut-out hillside which greatly hindered access to the back of the shed during assembly. I also found that the door latch didn't line up perfectly when closing the door but, again, I think this had more to do with the uneven surface rather than the shed itself. In a nutshell, I would say that this is a good solid shed at a great price. If you have a very flat yard it should go together well but if you need to grade things I would suggest making sure it is very level before assembling it and I would also recommend a very solid flat foundation for it.

Worth every dollar!! My nephew put this shed together by himself in a day. It would have been even less time except he added a wood floor base. He said it went together quite easily. I have it on my porch for easy access since I'm 74 yrs old. It keeps out the rain and critters from things I need to store. Good item!!

A good product overall. Assembly is not very easy but not hard at all. It leaks water from the roof though. The included plastic washer is not good enough to stop water from getting in through the bolts on the roof. I sprayed Flex Seal on them and no more leaks so far. Some silicon caulking should work as well.

For a cheapo metal shed, this ain't half bad! I am 5'5 and I have to duck a tiny bit to get under the door frame. It took about 5.5 hours to build it by myself with a few breaks. There's a million screws and it's a little flimsy/some of the holes have to be forced to screw in. The door latch was also slightly crooked but works.

Expected dings and dents. Ours arrived looking like it was shipped out of Ukraine on the outside, but the inside was still largely pristine. Though it had some dents and dings here and there all of them minor.Assembly is a pain. The instructions are just not that good and it is easy to get several steps backwards. If you find the screw holes aren't lining up, then you probably did the previous step backwards. This happened to us 3 times. We had to undo major steps, reverse how we assembled it, then put it back together. This added at least 2 hours to the construction. We are bizarre instruction, large mail order assembly experts and it still was a PITA to assemble. I see several reviews that say holes don't line up, and this is correct if the previous step was done backwards, just take it apart and do it again. Also, be careful not to overtighten any screws, some of them strip out very easily, ours has 3 or 4 that striped out. Some of the joints are flimsy enough that they strip the screws very easily.Once it is assemble it is fairly stiff and strong, I wouldn't be sheltering in this during a windstorm, but it holds together fairly well. It is easy to move around to, we had to debut it in about 4 different locations before we found a spot we liked it. I do recommend a concreate pad to put this on, the door is low enough to the ground that it catches on any stray grass that happens to get in its way. Plus it is narrow enough that being able to secure it down gives piece of mind it isn't going to fall over.Adding shelves and hangers is somewhat of a pain since there really aren't any beefy structural supports inside to attach to.This all sounds like I should give it 3 stars, but it is all aluminum so should last nicely, it is stable when finished, has a very nice look to it and holds all our stuff pretty well, including an electric lawn mower.So overall we are happy.
