Bought this to build a nice little 2TB external storage drive for my MacBook. Works great and is super fast. keeps the drive cool too which helps to keep it running fast.

Unbrauchbar. Schlechte Datentransferrate und nach kürzester Zeit wird das Gehäuse extrem heiß (>60°C) und die SSD 'kocht' darin. Für eine effektive Kühlung ist das Gehäuse einfach viel zu klein und zu leicht.

Finally have a 2tb External Drive
So my brother accidentally bought a 2tb drive that didn't work in his PS5 so he gave it to me so I bought this little gem because I didn't want it to accidentally open up & it works awsome. I like how it's made of metal instead of plastic & in the future if I ever need another one I will be getting this same one. I highly recommend this for the price & value. Will update if anything changes.

Solid and reliable
I previously had an RTL9210B based enclosure and it would constantly disconnect from my Mac Studio when transferring files. This JMS583 based enclosure is much more reliable and never disconnects. Stay away from the RTL9210B! I like that the entire enclosure is made of aluminum. Through the use of thermal pads, it helps keep the controller of the enclosure and the controller of the SSD cool.

Great design, zero waste space, easy to install, good heat dissipation, no disconnects at all, never encountered issues. The best option at this price.
