This does what it says on the box....and more!
Having previously bought a cheaper item, that had terrible sound quality, my initial impression of this player is a very good one. The earphones supplied are pretty good, but you really hear the sound quality through blue tooth headphones or speaker. There are plenty of equalizer presets, and one you can customize for your preference. It takes an SD card much bigger than the 64GB one supplied, I used a 512GB card. My files are all in FLAC format and I cant fault the sound quality. Some of the apps require subscriptions, such as Apple Music and Amazon Music and Spotify, but it comes with a free player too, just register an email address to access all the functions, such as a customized equalizer setting. Connects to wifi and bluetooth easily. I am looking forward to getting some audio books...and btw it has a sleep timer too. One thing you should be aware of if you listen to radio stations using the inbuilt app, you must use wired earphones as the wire acts as the antenna.

Good Android music player with some minor flaws.
TL:DR Pros: Good build quality Plays Hi-Res audio FM Radio Nice interface Cons: Cannot add applications Internal memory is 16GB not 80GB (rest is a card) Battery with Bluetooth on is alot shorter than advertised. (closer to 20 hours). Equaliser destroys music quality. I have been using this for a few days and so far it is pretty good, it feels well built but doesn't come with a screen protector or case so that needs to be factored in. Biggest issue for me is that it is advertised as 80GB and 160GB, I bought the 80GB version thinking I could add an SD card in and take it to 112. the problem is that the player is only 16gb and most of that is taken up by the operating systems and apps. What they do is provide a 64gb SD card (unbranded), I haven't had any issues with the card, but it was not clear when I ordered that this was the case. Second issue. you cannot add your own apps, it comes with the ones you would expect (Deezer, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music) but you cannot add to this, you can remove the ones you don't use (but I haven't tried to see if I can get them back). You can however enable developer options, so there may be more that can be done. Thirdly, the battery, whilst good, will not last 35 hours with Bluetooth on, though it may last longer with wired headphones. with Bluetooth, it was more like 20 hours, and there's the obvious battery drain with Bluetooth on in the background. Lastly, and this is slightly more trivial, this is a Hi-res player and plays FLAC files nicely, however, when you use the equaliser, it ruins the audio quality, I prefer my music a little bass heavy, unfortunately I cant change it. This all sounds like I'm talking it down, but I am happy with it, it is what I was looking for, just with a couple of minor negatives, it also has a built in Radio when you use wired headphones which is a nice feature. Also from the other reviews, I have had maybe 2 instances of Bluetooth instability over about 40 hours use, I have more with my phone so don't consider this to be an issue.

Great Sound ! Far superior than an iPhone 11 with headphones!!
Very happy with player. Solid construction serious piece of kit! Bit of a learning curve to learn all the features. So can’t give full breakdown but very happy with it. Maybe I will review again when I have learnt more features. The radio is lovely but you must use Headphones as the headphones works as an aerial. This player has so many features you would need to read and maybe print off some text to take full advantage of player. Have used loads of different headphones - Bluetooth etc and had fab sound. The wired headphones that come with it have a great sound. Lovely rich sound! Has good detail and nice bass. For sound experts the sound hip is pretty good and there is a lot of detail on specifications for experts to review online. So far so good. If you’ve been using an iPhone and headphones then this is an upgrade in sound! It’s awesome ( I have iPhone 11) Bought this for me as prezzie so I am happy to mess around with all the options. It is a player for a person that would be very comfortable with phone / techy related stuff. I love it I hope you like it too

Don't waste your money
Don't buy if you want listen to audio books or anything outside of the house. It will not let me access the Audible app with my Amazon login - I keep getting an error message stating that there was an internal error and to try again, any music you download and save cannot be listened to unless you are connected to WIFI. All in all, it's a waste of money. It's also ridiculously small and very glitchy.

Not a bad, but not a great MP3 player.
Pretty nifty MP3 player. My dad loves it. One thing to watch it's 16GB and a 64GB card and I wouldn't trust the card. Screens a bit low resolution as well, pretty fun to see a resistance screen again.

This MP3 player is defective and I've tried more than one of them.
MP3 player was bought on the 10th of July 2023. I am writing this review on the 16th July 2023. Intended use: If you want this MP3 player to install extra apps, watch Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Video etc then don't bother. You can't install any apps that don't already come with it. You can, however, remove apps that aren't useful to you to free up space. My personal intended use was to replace a Sansa Clip Sport plus. The Sansa MP3 players are designed to work with Audible (and work well for the most part) but can not use the audible app so there's a lot of faffing around. I wanted to cut out the middle man AND upgrade a little since I use an MP3 player a LOT of the time. I don't like to use my phone for this purpose because I find it adds a lot of wear and tear onto the phone and also because my phone is bigger and bulkier than I prefer to carry around when being active. As a bonus (for me) this MP3 player includes Spotify. So between the built in Audible app and Spotify I was fully covered for what I wanted it for. You will not be able to add a sim card to the player but I mean, it's not advertised as a phone, it's an MP3 player that has an android interface. If that's what you're looking for, buy a phone. Due to my intended use, I never really bothered with the video function at all - so I can't tell you about that. For those of you who are buying this for music and audio books, stick with me. Pros - * I got a good quality of sound from it. I did find the volume on the player itself was quite quiet (for books, not music) but it didn't sync my ear pod volume to it, if that makes sense. So I could max out the sound on the player, but then also turn up the volume on my ear pods which created a kind of boosted effect so that all worked out great. *The audible and Spotify apps worked exactly as advertised. It was just as easy to download books and music from these apps as it is on my phone. *The memory function is good. Not only will the player remember where you are in the chapter of your audio book if you are listening in the audible app, but much like the Sansa player, it will also remember where you are in the standalone music player. The only exception to this is if you change tracks or books. If you do that, when you change back it will have lost your place. A bookmark function would have been useful but I could not find one. This was not a big negative for me as I dont tend to change books until I finish them but someone else might find this a drawback. *I really liked the size of the player. It fits well in the hand and the buttons are well positioned. I bought a plastic case for mine and attacked a clip to the back, so I could wear it on my clothes like I did with my Sansa and that also worked really well. *Build quality felt good. The back of the case is metal, not plastic so it doesn't feel "cheap" and it has a good weight to it. *The connectivity was good. I had no problems connecting it to WiFi or Bluetooth and it found both quite quickly. *The touchscreen precision was mostly very good. We had a couple of funny moments but overall, it tracked really well which I was quite surprised at. On a 4-inch screen, if you are trying to push that very tiny "download" icon in the Spotify app, you might expect to have some trouble because of how small the thing is. But no, I found it worked very well. Cons - X The biggest con for me is that today I've had to start the return process. This is not exactly an ideal outcome at any time, but it's especially disappointing after only 4 days total of use (bought on the first day, used for the following four days, returned on the sixth day). Now, it is important to note that this might just be a fault with my player. It worked and charged fine at first. Then, on Friday night, I put the player on charge (with its own charging cable) and on Saturday morning I woke up and found that it only had 88% while still on charge. I took it off the charger and connected it to my high speed Samsung charger. Still would not go past 88%. I borrowed my son's charger. Still would not go past 88% after a further two hours of charging. I tested all the chargers with my phone, they all charged fine. No connectivity problem or cable issue. I restarted it. Still 88%. I gave it a hard reset. Still 88%. I factory reset it (twice). Still 88%. No mater what I did, it would not charge further. Yesterday (sat) I used the player all day until I had completely discharged the battery thinking maybe this would somehow allow it to charge fully. I put it on charge when I went to bed last night, got up this morning 9 hours later (it is Sunday after all) and it was only charged to 80% this time. Again, tried different chargers, still would not go past 80%. The conclusion I've reached is that the battery itself is degraded. I don't know if it's sat in a warehouse for a while before it's been sent out or if this unit was defective, but obviously this downward trend is no good. I don't know if this will happen to anyone else's player, but it is something you should be aware of before spending this amount of money on an MP3 player. X General battery life - ok this one is hard to comment on because since my battery is degraded I don't know if this is just my experience, or what the player is actually like but I'll include it anyway. Just take it with a pinch of salt because I don't know if this is accurate. When I first got the player, I downloaded an audio book, 6 episodes of a podcast and some music. The battery drained quite quickly and continued to drain quite fast as I was playing a book. I decided to disconnect from the WiFi (since I had the items downloaded and the drain slowed right down. It will last me for several hours but by the end of the day it is redlining. I'm definitely not getting the 15 hours of continuous use with Bluetooth pods that was advertised, but again - this is possibly just a fault with my player because of the degraded battery. X As stated above the touchscreen is quite accurate - but the keyboard is so small that it's quite hard to type accurately on. But in fairness, what can you expect in a 4-inch screen. X The apps are locked and you can't download anything else which can be a pain when there's a tool you just know could make things easier for you - BUT that's fully stated upfront so you can't really complain about that. It is what it is. All in all, if I didn't have the battery issue that I've had with it, I would have kept this player and been very happy with it. I may buy another and try again and see if I have a repeat problem. If I do, I will update the review to reflect this. *UPDATE* 08/08/21 I really did like this MP3 player, so I decided to give it another chance. I ordered the yellow one this time to ensure it was a different unit and it was delivered on the 17th July 2023. I was really busy and didn't have much of a chance to use it properly to test it out for a little bit but I've now been using it solidly for about a week or so. When the second player was delivered it was completely flat. I honestly can't remember the last time I bought a device that came totally drained right out of the box. Day 1 of use I plugged it in, charged it up and it hit 100% All good. Day 2, the player would only charge to 98%, and I was immediately disappointed but decided to persevere. I wanted to see how much the trend would continue, if it would be ok and maybe somehow the problem would self correct. As of today (8/8/23) I will be returning the device. I really wanted things to work out with it but it just hasn't. The device continued to lose anywhere between 1%-3% battery capacity on every charge and as of this morning, will now only charge to 70%. The included photo (the second one on the review) shows the battery after having charged from where it was last night (it was 52% when I went to bed) to 70% this morning. It has had roughly 6 hours on charge and no matter what I do, which cable I use or how I connect it, the battery will not fill past 70%. I don't know how much capacity this device will lose in total but so far, the trend shows no sign of stopping. It loses more capacity with every charge. I've never seen anything like it. It's irritating because this could be a good little niche product for people who just need limited android services in an MP3 player but the item is defective and I don't believe there's any way the manufacturer could not be aware of this. This is no longer an isolated incident nor can I excuse it by saying "well maybe it was just that one unit" - because two different units have now done the exact same thing. Save your money, shop elsewhere.

Good MP3 player
bought 10th Nov 2023 I wanted to give this player a good try-out before I did a review as some of the reviews nearly put me off getting it. I mainly use it in the car to play my MP3s when I am out and about, I carry it in my pocket and it has always connected first time when I have started the car and displays the artist and song, some reviewers have said that the battery is losing charge or will not charge to 100% when they have used it, I have charged it about seven times so-far and not had this problem, the charge has been as low as 38% when I have put it on charge and it has always went back to full charge. I would be happy to recommend this to friends or family as a cheap and easy to use MP3 player.

Great gift for my 10Year old
My daughter wanted her own music player and this one has been great. Only had it a week so time Will tell but so far it exceeded our expectations - she was excited that it has a chrome app so she can also search the internet and watch YouTube
