Product Description Size name: pack of 4 | style name: wheat and stem Ginger product Description The unique moist richness and natural sweetness of organic sprouted bread is achieved by a special sprouting process using the finest, specially selected grains and pure filtered water. Ingredients sprouted whole Organic wheat (95.1%), stem Ginger (4.9%). Ingredients Sprouted Whole WHEAT (95%), Stem Ginger (5%). Review: A bread that is more like a super healthy cake! - I am amazed to see that I can buy sprouted wheat bread on desertcart. Having discovered it years ago, I have found very few health food shops that stock it, let alone stock a few different flavours and types of this lovely bread. If you choose any Sunnyvale/Everfresh sprouted type bread with raisins/dates/dried fruit/stem ginger, you will have a naturally sweet bread which is as good as cake. But this is super healthy cake, made from 2 or 3 organic ingredients, and the carrot and raisin sprouted wheat bread is wonderful. So that's how I eat it, sliced thickly, maybe toasted for a while then buttered, in place of not-so-healthy cake, which usually contains a lot of sugar. It is always beautiful and fresh due to the way they package it, and yet has several months of storage life, until you open it. So buying 4 at a time is fine, and the price on desertcart is exceptionally good particularly with free postage. Review: Can't taste the ginger. - Can't taste the ginger, disappointing. Won't buy again.

... of these Sunnyvale breads and while they are all great, this one is awesome and totally addictive
We have tried many of these Sunnyvale breads and while they are all great, this one is awesome and totally addictive. We have it spread with a little coconut oil and some all fruit jam. Really moist and tasty.

Okay, but NOT Ezekiel Bread substitute
I see this being compared to Ezekiel bread by people who haven't had Ezekiel bread. I am American and ate plain Ezekiel bread and Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel bread back home all the time. I've missed it since moving to the UK over a year ago so I tried this recently. Allow me to say this is not at all like Ezekiel bread. Ezekiel bread is better, in my opinion, and more like real bread. This is like a little cake. It has 3 ingredients (sprouted grain, carrots and raisins). It's a very small loaf and unsliced. That being said, it's not terrible. It does have a natural sweetness to it. It's quite moist (also very, very dense/heavy). My kids used to love cinnamon raisin EB and they strongly disliked this. I think it's okay. But if you're looking for Ezekiel bread, I would not consider this a substitute. Also strange is how long this lasts - I'm sure it has to do with ingredients but it has a shelf life of 7 months. Ezekiel bread is the opposite, lasting maybe 3 days and usually having to be frozen to get your use out of a whole loaf. So give it a go if you want something vegan and natural, but do not consider this bread or an EB substitute.

Cautiously optimistic
Apart from pumpernickel bread, I am a first-timer with this sort of product - which, please note, is labelled as a *bread*. Remember that word! When I accidentally came across it I decided to try it because I've lost 25 kilo and 6 inches round the waist, don't want to put it back on ... and I love cake! **Which this isn't.** It's so heavy you think it's made from plutonium, and my pack of 4 loaves has a use by date of May 2014! (Ordered September 2013.) You'll need to re-educate your taste buds if you're like me, because when you open the pack and look at the contents, it's like ginger cake or treacle cake. You expect that sugary hit - but you don't get it. I chose this carrot/raisin one on the basis it would be sweeter than the others, but no. It's pretty chewy and I can't really explain the 'eating experience' except that you'll need to take your time, you'll probably want to toast it, and if you crave some sweetness you'll want to add some jam to it. Once opened, the manufacturer suggests you keep it in the fridge and eat it within 3 days. Nutritionally it's on the low side for sugar (8.4g per 100g) and only 0.17g of saturated fat per 100g. Fibre is 7.7g per 100g and protein 9.5g. To be honest I'm not sure I will want to repeat the experience. However, I can't blame this product for not living up to my imagination, so I'll respect the reviews of others and say 4 stars easily and if this is closer to what you want, then regard it as a 5 star product. The presentation is good, the quality is undeniable, and if you're stocking your survival room, this sure will last!

Tasteless and moldy!
I bought these as the description sounds good but sadly one of them was moldy. I tried one of the better looking loafs but they really do not have a taste and you need to cover them with honey or jam to give it a taste. I had to try them but they are not for me, hope you enjoy.

Excellent bread
I found this bread absolutely delicious. As others have said, it is best toasted and spread with butter or a nut butter. Having had digestive problems, Ibs etc, I thought I was probably wheat or gluten intolerant but I have had no such problems with this bread. I now could not go back to the rubbish passed off as bread in the supermarket. I am also off all refined flour products such as cakes, pastries etc and feel much better for it. I will go on auto delivery for this item so that I never run out.
