love it
I am someone who has struggled with digestive issues for years, I was skeptical of yet another supplement claiming to improve gut health. However, I noticed a difference within just a few days of taking the supplement.Great value for money & good combination of pre & probiotics !!

Very effective, good quality, maybe a little expensive for both of us.
As a vegan for the last two years, I was very pleased to find this Vegan Symbiotic Probiotic + Prebiotic supplement from Direct Vitality. The medium-sized capsules are easy to swallow and have no discernible aftertaste. These capsules appear to be very good quality and not only contain 20 billion CFU from 8 strains of the most beneficial bacteria but also include the all-important pre-biotic ingredients to support them. They claim to be gentle on the stomach and I can confirm that I have not experienced any problems or unwelcome side effects in this respect.I have been a long-term sufferer of diverticulosis and IBS. Having good gut flora is a help in alleviating some of the symptoms and I have found these live bio cultures to be very effective. Since I have been taking them I have been completely free from my usual symptoms. My bowel habits have been regular, easy and comfortable and I have been feeling light, bright and more energetic than I have for a long time. I have also suffered from mild facial rosacea and I have noticed an apparent improvement in my skin, which appears clearer and much less red.My only issue is that at nearly £18.95 for 60 capsules, the recommended serving of two capsules a day equates to one month’s supply (not two months as advertised) which makes these a little expensive for us as it would mean laying out nearly £38 each month for two of us. This is near twice the price of our usual product.) So, although these are of excellent quality and are unquestionably therapeutic, we will have to carefully consider the benefit versus cost before re-ordering.

Helps with constipation, and it is a vegan product.
The media could not be loaded. Above average product, but only if you take 2. Not worth the value, it did help me with constipation, but so have others and cost a fraction of the price of 18.95 currently for 1-2 months supply, I have used products that cost only 5-6 quid for 2 months supply, but to be fair those were in better economy times. This product is above average for 20 billion, but that's if you take 1 per day which is 20 billion, I needed 2 per day for the optimum 40 billion hit which is a desirable amount for real hard constipation. It does work though as stated, just not good value for money.Something to note, this mustn't be taken every day for the rest of your life, it is something to help good gut microbiome grow, to help with eventually digestion of food, and to help with the colon cleanse better, amongst other benefits, which can indirectly help you just by having a good healthy gut bacteria going from time to time. At some point there has to be breaks from taking it, weeks even so you don't rely on external help too much is what a Doctor once told me. I use it on an as and when needed basis, and that way I can make it last for many months.

Good quality probiotics and prebiotics
The Direct Vitality Vegan Symbiotic probiotics and prebiotics supplement comes in a clear plastic jar with branded label containing 60 capsules. The recommended serving suggestion is to take 1 or 2 capsules on a daily basis; however, if you already consume well balanced nutrition from varied food sources; including nuts, seeds, wholegrains, fresh fruit & leafy vegetables, yoghurt & fermented pickles, then you will more than likely have a healthy gut microbiome with a good population of probiotics and prebiotics! My personal nurition is good & I regularly eat different foods that aid a healthy gut microbiome, as such I think it's overkill to be taking the Direct Vitality Vegan Symbiotic supplement everyday, so I take 1 capsule every 3-4 days (so twice per week). If however, you've had a bad stomach infection, then I'd suggest taking 2 capsules per day for at least 7 days in a row after any unpleasant symptoms subside. This will help your gut microbiome recover & return to a healthy level. Also, if you don't maintain a healthy, well balanced diet, then I'd suggest this supplement would be worth taking every other day as a minimum to help promote a healthy gut microbiome. The Direct Vitality Vegan Symbiotic capsules are medium sized, so easy to swallow. I haven't experienced any digestive issues using this supplement.Overall, I've found the Direct Vitality Vegan Symbiotic capsules to be a reasonably priced and good quality. Depending on your requirements, this supplement could last over 6 months!

Reduces IBS bloating
I have previously tried other brands of prebiotics & probiotics which I found helped to significantly reduce my bloating symptoms associated with IBS when taken alongside my prescription medications for the condition which causes me discomfort on a daily basis.I suffer with IBS & acid reflux, the constant bloating that comes with it makes me feel chronically uncomfortably full & sluggish with very little appetite, my IBS also often causes me episodes of constipation & diarrhoea whilst the acid reflux induces vomiting, hence why I will try anything that claims to help in order to find some relief. My symptoms impact on my productivity throughout the day as my productivity declines as the severity of my symptoms increases, these have made an improvement to my stomach & I do notice the discomfort creeping back if I do not take any form of prebiotic/probiotic supplement for a few days.I do feel that these are pretty costly though compared to the previous prebiotics & probiotics supplements I have tried, my favourites being Digestive Works which also contains postbiotics which are also £4 cheaper for the same amount of capsules.
