I absolutely love this book! I skipped over the first of the two books, Hand lettering 101 and jumped right in to 201. This is the first hand lettering book I’ve ever bought and I am new to the art. I found myself getting lost in it, practicing for hours. I find it very relaxing and fun. The book includes Many different styles and fonts with room to practice. There are several project ideas and tips for beginners. The book is very well made. Heavy duty, spiral bound with pages that do not bleed through. My only complaint is I wish there was more! I want to keep writing. So maybe print out some of the sheets to practice again and again. Very thoughtfully written by an author who has a real love for hand lettering. Her enthusiasm shines through and she writes as though she’s sharing her best advise and tips to a friend. I would definitely recommend this book for beginners or the more experienced. I love it so much that I plan to purchase Hand lettering 101! You can use any pen, marker, or pencil but I used Tombow fudenosuke brush pens and Sakura micron 05 pens and they worked very well. A great book at a great price!!
