So far so good
Ok, so here is my honest review on day one of this product and I plan on updating if there are any future problems. Right out of the box and on the wall, I am happy. For reference, this is my ONLY eufy camera so far and it was very easy to set up. I wanted to install this camera horizontally over my garage and realized horizontal install will not work on this camera. The reason being is the angle of the lens points downward (fixed), so turning it sideways would point the camera sideways. There is a slight left right angle adjustment, but not up and down. The recommended install height is 71 to 79 inches to center of hardwire box. Instructions say it can be installed up to 87 inches high, but will effect the motion sensor functions. Mine is installed higher than 87 inches, but it is installed facing a driveway that slopes downward so the fixed camera angle works fine for me. So far the motion sensor works great and is not triggered at cars passing on the street, but is triggering with people walking up the driveway (which is what I wanted)People complaining about the resolution or motion sensor on this camera are not being reasonable about a camera at this very low price point. This camera is designed for a porch, patio, or people walking up close on your property and they sell different cameras for longer term range. The entire unit is a plastic case but it does not feel cheap. You can turn (manually) one or both of the lights to face the building, which I think is pretty cool for less direct lighting. The app sends me a notice to my phone when it detects motion. I can open the app and see the video that is locally stored on the device itself (4gb storage included on unit.)I do not have a delay and it comes up almost instantly, but my unit is within 50 feet of my router and I think that (and phone speed) makes a big difference as to notifications.Eufy has the local storage on the unit for NO monthly fee, OR you can choose “cloud storage”—for cloud storage, the price (Feb 2023) is $2.99/month for one device 30 days of storage or $9.99/month for up to 10 devices 30 days of storage.I plan on buying the HomeBase3 (additional local) storage in the future when this device is compatible (website says April of 2023, but I understand they are facing some delays with that.)The light can be programmed on my phone, turned on or off, set to timer or motion sensor, change colors (any rainbow color you want) all from my phone. The audio is decent and I can hear if people are talking in the driveway. The video resolution is not good enough to capture license plates unless parked in the driveway directly under the camera. For the price point, I think this camera/ light combination is a great value. This camera faces South under a covered eave and I’m curious how long it lasts before I get some lens burn or problems with the casing. I will update if I experience any problems and will update with the HomeBase3 compatibility once I get it.Some considerations for future improvements would be:—Make the wiring screwdriver and the install screwdriver all Phillips head (don’t make people bring multiple tools up a ladder with flat and Phillips mixed)—The set screws on the sides of the unit are ridiculously tiny and should be bigger.—better unit to mount plate connection—make the unit able to install horizontal with a positionable camera angle.—make an identical lighting unit without a camera for mounting on both sides of garage (or similar nearby applications)Stay tuned for review updates at this unit ages.I hope this review was helpful to your shopping.

5 Stars But A Warning!
I really like it and am giving five stars.......... but I was frustrated for quite a while because I could not get it on my wifi using the android app on the latest version of android. Kind of pissed me off. I finally used my wife's IPhone......setting it up using the IPhone worked the frst time and it has worked perfectly since. The Eufy folks need to work on this problem.

unique product in the wifi camera space
This is a unique product in the wifi camera space looking more like a normal entry wall light. The specs aren't great compared to eufy newer offerings, I hope there is a model update with more modern internal tech soon.I've had it for two years and almost no problems. Every once in a while I won't be able to access it from my phone app, but eventually returns to normal operation.

UPDATE after 6 months
I purchase in 08/01/24 and wrote a review in 2024 that I can not seem to update, it was 100% positive.04/06/25 UPDATE - love this camera. NO issues ever. Great alarming, great picture night and day. NO false alarms. NO complaints whatsoever. The light comes on at night with motion, but if the movement is NOT in the target area - can set the alarming zones - then no alarm. I would put this unit everywhere if it fit the area and requirement.

Final Update and Thoughts…
Update 2:I was an early adopter and subsequent updates since initial review have resolved my issues with this camera. Giving it a 5 star rating now. I’ve had two wrong human detections since HB 3 integration. Both times a basketball rolled by a large plant at dusk which could be mistaken as human. I can now recommend this camera and have no issues with it.Update:I’ll start by saying Eufy support is top notch. They reached out to address some of my concerns.1. Regarding the light attachment to the base. I was told they are implementing a fix to secure the light to the base top and bottom.2. HB integration end of March. This should resolve the human detection and image quality issues I personally have. My 2k doorbell cam runs on HB 3 and is a great camera. I’m assuming this light running on HB will be the same. The light features and functions itself are great. I have no issues with that at all.All-in-all, with the base fix and HB integration I’d say this will be a solid buy.Quick summary:- Crappy light attachment to base- Doesn't utilize Homebase- Poor human detection- Subpar image qualityI have three Eufy S300 4k cameras, one 2k doorbell, bunch of entry sensors and now this wall light.First complaint is the how the light attaches to the wall base. You screw the base to your wall then attach the light to the base. There is only two tiny screws on the left and right side to secure the light to the base. You can see from my pics the weight of the light pulls it away from the base creating a gap. 100% water is getting in there. There should be a screw in the top and bottom as well.Next the camera quality. It’s pretty poor compared to the 4k which is amazing. It’s even lower quality than my 2k doorbell for some reason. Maybe is the location but I’m not sure. Big fail by not using the 4k camera in this application. Night and day difference. It does not integrate with Homebase. Why release a new product that doesn’t support HB tech? About 20% of my alerts have been false. The camera thinks a red bag sitting on my porch is a human.Huge miss not making this 4k and not integrating with Homebase.
