Double 12 Colour Dot Dominoes in Tin

The game of Mexican trains is addictive, but also has many rule variations, so make sure all players agree on the rules beforehand - failure in this area can lead to tears! The rules included in this set are open to interpretation, but this is not important as long you agree what they are to be. This particular set of double-twelve dominoes is well made with clear coloured dots, although some of the colours are similar (inevitable with twelve colours). The dominoes have a nice feel to them and enough weight to be stable when standing up (you don't want your dominoes falling over for all to see). There was no smearing of the dot colouring and no marks on the underside (as reported in another review). Be prepared for the tin box (incidentally it is decorated differently to that shown on the web page) to be damaged, as the packaging it was sent in was woefully inadequate. I spent half an hour in the shed gently teasing the "bruised" corners back into a good enough shape for the lid to fit acceptably well. This was a pity as the box is attractive. All in all, worth the £9 paid and would recommend it to all. PS have just spent a week in France staying with French friends and had to leave the game behind! Another is on order. PPS Sep 12 - the design shown now (red with two dominoes) is the one I received (quite different to the design being shown when I bought it over two years ago).

This is a great for playing a number of different games that can be enjoyed by a wide age range. We adults love it and so do my grandchildren. My three year old granddaughter makes up her own game of matching them end to end and making a long line around the floor. Kept her happy for hours. Well worth the money.

The Double 12 colour dot dominos is an excellent game. We were introduced to it as an after dinner game between the 6 of us. It was good fun and a cut above ordinary dominos. We thoroughly enjoyed it and so bought a set ourselves. It keeps you alert and is a laugh. The game comes with full instructions and in a good tin. You can play various games with it and I'd recommend it happily. The tiles have a nice feel to them too and durable.

Discovered this game on a trip to relatives in Florida. It was brought out after dinner and everyone loved it. A teenager amongst us even put down his PSP in order to play. I ordered it on my return to the UK and subsequently spent SEVEN HOURS playing with a group of friends. Absolutely addictive.

Looking for a 'Mexican Train' set for the family was horrified by the prices but found this set at half the price of others. No fancy marker pieces but the dominoes are excellent quality and the set contains the plastic starter hub for the game. Packed in a neat tin I was delighted with this purchase.

Good quality in a robust storage tin. Disapointed with the spot colours, not bright enough to differentiate in all but bright light.

Very dissapointed with this product. The colour of the spots are not very clear. My brother has a set and you can tell the difference just on that score alone. We have only used these once which is a shame as we all like the game very much.

I've had to return this set as unfit for purpose, because they're so badly marked on the back that we can easily identify individual dominoes - no good when you're drawing from the pool and need a 12! Tried to clean them, but it looks like its just stained resin being used. Shame, because the price is right, but no good at all if you can tell which ones which without turning them over.

Se manchan con facilidad pero sin de muy buena calidad.

Family can play this with ease and my 81 year old grandma who doesn't have good eyesight can easily see and read the tiles. Good product, quality tiles. Perfect set of dominoes.

3 boites achetées, 3 boites retournées.....dominos manquants, dominos en double, sales, de la peinture sur les cotés etc... Ne correspond pas à la description. vraiment mécontent

I didn't feel the colours were easy to distinguish while playing all were rather murky making them look too similar

Es una caja de dominó, no había mucho que fallar: las fichas están bien acabadas, la tinta de los colores se ve perfectamente, las fichas son grandes y pesadas, muy cómodas de usar. Ya que es un juego para hasta 8 jugadores, nunca entenderé por qué sólo lleva 4 cacharros. Lo mismo, sin embarga, pasaba con el juego de un amigo, de otro productor. Si necesitáis un dominó, comprad sin problema, y a disfrutar.
