HORI Super Mario Odyssey Accessory Set Officially Licensed - Nintendo Switch,Case

The Nintendo Switch came out and just screams “buy accessories for me!”. A lot of time first party is the way to go despite the higher price. A lot of times that higher price equates to a much better product.Hori has some solid prices so I gave them a chance and I’ve become a pretty loyal customer.With a wife and 5 kids who all have their own Switches. Yeah, 7 of them within our household in total. The kids will be receiving theirs for Christmas.So, about THIS product. I purchased my wife a Switch and she’s not the massive Nintendo fan that I am so the numerous Nintendo franchise cases didn’t appeal to her. She LOVES Skyrim though and when she saw this set she was excited by it.So...I bought it for her. It arrived and I’m a little envious.The joy con grip accessory is fantastic. The joy cons don’t just slide onto a middle piece, this is an actual case. The joy cons rest in it and all sides but the tops (where the buttons and joysticks are) are covered and it looks slick!!The case is a soft case and is very nice looking and does it’s job.There’s a screen cover which you absolutely want as a Switch owner.And a nifty little screen cleaning cloth.A nice kit. If I hadn’t already bought accessories for mine before this came out I’d be purchasing a second one.If you’re a Skyrim loving Switch owner and haven’t invested in accessories yet, buy this!

Overall very please. Zelda pouch has a gorgeous design, and is a great zipper pouch case to throw in a bigger bag. The joycon grips are probably my favorite part, sporting the gorgeous design on them, and the back of them give a nice grip to the joycon. Easy to put on and remove, and removing the joycon from the Switch with the grips on is super easy!The screen cloth and screen protector (an official Hori screen protector AKA a very high quality screen protector) really add to the value of this pack and make it worth the purchase.

I really enjoyed what all this kit has to offer.PROS- The Zelda themed cleaning cloth works well and looks cooler than the generic grey cleaning cloths.- The game case has a quality leather/leather-like finish. Holds 6 game cards. Fits inside the travel case easily (including the Switch) and doesn't add any significant protrusion with it inside.-The travel case is a soft fabric with nice detail. Great for protecting the Switch from scratches in a backpack or purse but I wouldn't trust it to protect from falls or getting tossed around in luggage.- The joy-con decal attachments add some cool Zelda flare to the the joy-cons. Any part that isn't the white decal will be the color of the joy-con you're using as it is a clear plastic material. They don't add a ton of thickness to each joy-con but a little (This may be a pro or a con depending on how you feel about them as is).CONS- Though the decal attachments don't create any issues with the dock, the joy-con grip is another story. If you want to use the grip you'll have to take the attachments off which is a little annoying. I have a pro controller so I don't run into that issue and can leave them on the Switch.- Taking the attachments on and off is a bit more annoying than one would like though I feel it comes together with relative ease. Where the front and back halves of each attachment connect can sometimes prove a little difficult to take apart or get perfectly snapped in. I personally don't run into scenarios where I need to take them apart so it isn't an issue for me but felt that should be included.Overall I am very happy with this kit as a life long Zelda fan.

This was well-worth the price! The controller grip is well made, as the controllers fit in very snug and secure. The printing is high quality, as well as the printing on the screen cloth and carrying case. The carrying case is decently padded, making it so I don't have to worry about the Switch on the go.

I have been looking for a slim case that protects my Switch from scratches and small bumps but will still fit in a pocket/compartment in my tech bag. To my disappointment, all cases at launch were huge! I recently found this and it works perfectly. The polishing cloth is nice and useful. The clear snap-on joycon covers are nice but could lead to scuffing where they snap together... there’s really no protection from this with plastic-on-plastic and the snap-together segments are right against the joycon surface with no gap. I decided to keep on my gel guards anyway because I like the solid grip they give and the additional contouring to the back of the controllers these give. I also had already purchased and installed a glass screen protector and generally hate the film-style screen protectors, so I’m not using the one included. It’s a bit of a waste and wish they would’ve included something else, but I understand why they did. The leather game card case is also a nice bonus, looks great quality, and if you turn the cartridges sideways, they are completely protected with no rubbing! This bundle perfectly fixed my needs so it’s 5 stars. My complaint is that it is overpriced. $15-20 would have been appropriate, but it is officially licensed ($$$) by Nintendo after all...EDIT: The Splatoon version of this package is $19.99 as I thought. That one includes the same case design, two thumbstick caps, and what looks like a squid game card pouch. The caps are worth probably a dollar and so the only thing different are the two joy-con plastic covers with the Zelda version. These are not worth $10.
