Chef Craft Select Can Opener with Bottle Opener, 7 Inch, Chrome, Nickle Plated

My husband always tries to push on me these battery operated can opening gadgets that actually take longer to open the cans to the point of ridiculousness. I had old school can openers laying around the house that our moms used to own, and they are tried and true and work so quickly and easily. However, the last one I had broke the other day. I immediately came on here and ordered this one. It worked like a dream....even better than the old one I had! I will probably buy another one as a backup because it's so affordable and a critical kitchen gadget for easily opening up cans without the fuss!

This Can Opener Is Amazing & Precisely What I Was Looking For. The Classic Esthetic, Minimal Design, Simplicity/Straight Forward Use, Super Easy To Clean And Is Solidly Made. Plus, I Especially Enjoy That There Is No Possible Hidden/Unaccessible Space At All Where Dirt/Mold Can Or Could Build Up. Personally, Highly Recommend

i bought a battery operated can opener and it works great but i hand a bent can and it would not open it all the way. i could not get the product out of the can. i didn't have any more can openers. Now i do. the good old reliable can opener.

This is a classic old school can opener. Unlike the more complicated ones, there are no wheels and it has yet to show any signs of rust. But the point on this is weaker than a proper old school ripper and you're going to need something to pound on it to pierce the can.

Great addition to my survival gear, very useful

I purposefully looked for an old fashioned can opener, after being tiered of having the wheels spin without opening the cans for the rotary version. It gets getting used to, and starting the puncture takes some finesse, but one it’s in, it cuts. The edges are jagged so you have to be careful, but it gets the job done. If I can figure out how to start the puncture in a safe and non erratic way, it would be awesome. I do wrap a cloth on the handle because the edges are angular and very utilitarian, which is why I got it to begin with. No batteries, no moving parts to malfunction, no plugs or cords. Transportable. The blade is sharp, so caution is needed as with all sharp objects. The price was reasonable so if it didn’t work I didn’t feel like I spent a lot…but it worked just as I expected. 4 stars not five only because of the comfort of the handle, but not a deal breaker. I am glad I was able to find it!

Second, put the rim of the can into the notch and walk the blade around the can until the lid comes off.

This can opener is perfect! I bought this to put in my family emergency evacuation bag. In order to carry as many items as we possibly can to make an evacuation more comfortable...I look for small size items and light weight items so they take up just a wee bit of space in our bag leaving room for another comfort item. This itty bitty can opener is perfect for that! It is small, light weight, works, is solid and sturdy.
