Amazing and Delicious
I bought this book because I wanted more options for fueling before and after runs, and options to continue with my healthier lifestyle as a runner. I hate having to get up real early before a race so I can eat a good breakfast and have it digested enough to where I do not feel the urge to barf while running, yet I am also not starving afterwards or depriving my body for during the run. I tried my first smoothie with my nine year old daughter the other day and it was amazing. We drank it about two hours before running a 10k. I felt great throughout the run, and was not starving afterwards. My daughter really liked the taste of the smoothie, had no complaints of being too full during the race, and was not starving afterwards either. I like that the book has each one labelled as pre-run or post-run. It makes it very easy for doing a quick glance at names to see what sounds good. Also, along with the labelling, it gives information as to why the ingredients were chosen, such as to ease GI issues, improve circulation, aid affects of inflammation, or adding old fashioned oatmeal oats to keep you fuller longer. This book would be a great addition to runners of any age who can use help in pre-run and post-run fueling, want to help obtain the runner's physique, or just need ideas for great tasting smoothies.

Tasty and more than enough variety!
I'm in training for a half marathon at the moment and it's not always easy to juggle the morning runs with my full time job and at the same time ensure I'm getting adequate nutrition, and as such smoothies really are the answer for me. This is the second book I bought on the topic and I was glad to find that this one is actually everything I needed. The nutritional info is clearly laid out, the pre and post-run smoothies are clearly labeled and there's plenty of variety too which should keep me from getting bored. Honestly, had this been the first book I bought on the topic, it would have been the only one I needed but it's too late to return the other one now so live and learn I guess.

Most disgusting smoothly ever
At first I thought this book was pretty cool and could not wait to make my 1 st smoothie. So before going for a run I tried out one of the smoothies from the book. It called for cooked instant oatmeal 1/2 cup of non fat yogurt a cup of fruit and some non fat milk. I used 1 cup of berries the half cup cooked instant oatmeal a 5 oz container of yogurt and a cup of unsweetened almond milk. I have a vitamix so I put it all in and blended on low for about a minute until it was all blended. The oats made it super thick and it did not taste that good. The directions said to drink it chilled. I pored it into a bowl and ate it with a spoon it was so thick it would was impossible to drink. That's the only one I have made. Perhaps some of the others would be better but I am not sure if I want to try them based on my first experience.I thought the book could have been better laid out. it would have been helpful had it been organized into two sections. Smoothies for before and after running. They were all jumbled together with no real order. I would not recommend this book.

Possibly too tasty?
It's hard to imagine something being too tasty, but the only problem I've come up against so far is that I tend to make batches of 3 - 4 servings of my favorite smoothies and whenever I leave them in the fridge I start to notice my family has been helping themselves to some. I've told them they're for runners only and if they want to keep drinking it then they're going to need to come for a run. All jokes aside, it's a great book and if you like blueberries as much as I do then you're going to need to try the blueberry avocado one. It sounds weird but it's simply blissful!

Great smoothie book
The recipes are quick and easy. You can have your freezer stocked and ready to go. I like that it distinguishes between a pre-run smoothie vs. a post-run smoothie. Having the right fuel before and after your workout is key. You don't have to be a runner to enjoy the recipes and the benefits they provide. Great for any pre and post workout.

Good source to make smoothies.
Good beginner's source to make smoothies and drinks tailored to your needs. Lack of color photos was a bummer, though.

A great resource for runners
Clear and concise and doesn't suffer from all of the usual filler and page-padding you come to expect from kindle recipe books nowadays. Everything is explained in an easy-to-follow manner, the recipes are well thought out and taste great and I could confidently recommend others to buy this book.

Really like the book...just wish it was longer
The recipes are not complicated and it doesn't require ingredients that are hard to get a hold and it is very informative, just wish it was a little longer but overall I enjoyed it.
