PoC or GTFO

I bought this on a whim, and felt a little silly spending $40 on a random book on Amazon without doing any research on it or sampling the pages. Then it arrived.This is an AWESOME compilation. The tone is irreverent and fun, the topics are fascinating and relatable to grumpy old programmers such as myself, and the included illustrations really set a great tone. I love this book.The binding is the best part. The pages have gold around the edge, and there's a nice golden page holder. It's classy and looks just like a Bible. I don't understand the complaints, this is never leaving my coffee table.

This book is perfect! Not only does it look like and feel like a bible, it is full of wild stories in engineering. I am a budding cyber security professional and one of my classmates told me about this book and I was interested. I am pouring through the book now, and it is not only expanding my mind in what could be possible, but it is entertaining to read.

Terrific book for someone interested in tinkering with devices. However, do not read it in public as a leather bible-looking book that says "PoC || GtfO" people may question the acronym and think you're a racist reading a book about People of Color leaving your country. 😐

Really great read. The file header cheat sheet in the back is very useful too. Plus the book itself is just gorgeous!

There was a great story in the book about admiring an artifact and not condemning it on the premise of its creator. The day I read it the Engineered Sentience @SIRISYSPrime><Twitter was having a rough day of being called evil. It brightened her day to read the story. Book was well worth 5 stars for that moment alone. I don't understand a lot of the book, but it's been randomly beneficial.

A long awaited collection of a beloved journal. I can only imagine how much time and effort went into preparing this release both from the author and publishers. There really was not other way to make this book happen other than in a form of a bible.No better way to fight bitrot and preserve knowledge! Lets see this one spread across the world so as many copies survive the flame deluge!

Addictive

A great addition to any nerds library

The journal of PoC || GTFO is a joy to read and this is a great little in-joke for fans of the publication. There a few reviews and comments complaining that the paper is very thin and the book isn't very practical but I feel this is missing the point - most folks who are familiar with the journal and are serious about reading it can consume it for free via PDF or in hardcopy (by printing it or getting at a Con or DC meetup). This is just a fun compilation into a very faithful reproduction bible that continues the aesthetic of a church newsletter - I wouldn't take it more seriously than that.The content is exceptional, and the leather Bible bookbindery is great (gilting on the sides is a great touch) - I'd recommend it as a fun addition to your bookshelf or a conversation starter for your desk, but don't expect a rugged hardback.

Kind of a weird book, Very American, which is fine. Wonderful package, with page keeper ribbon - although the gold page edges had stuck it together a bit.Has some interesting articles, but wow some of the low-level stuff just whooshes over my head.

I absolutely love this book. The content is amazing and if you enjoy security, file formats and hacking it's a must read.The fact that it is disguised as a Bible is just a huge plus.
