Red colour very weak
Easy to wire up and test using the example code available online, but the red colour is very weak and disappointing. Returned for a refund. Customer service did at least try to suggest a few things but I think this must be a faulty unit.

acceptable e-ink module
This product is a bare e-ink display module. It comes in just the module and the connection cable, nothing more nor less. I don't like it doesn't come with any short/long/simple printed documentation or manual. So customer needs to research the code or testing procedure online instead.E-Ink display is good for its low power consumption and great for static information or "rarely" change/update. It uses simple SPI interface which is easily worked out with Arduino or Raspberry Pi/Pico etc. It will be great if it offers more documentation or tutorial to those beginner customers.

An excellent, and very easy to interface with, e-paper display
Waveshare, by and large, is the only name in e-paper development boards targeted at the "simpler" microcontroller development platforms like Arduino and ESP-IDF. So, odds are if you've used any, you've used their stuff. This is probably the sixth or seventh variant of a Waveshare display I've bought and its the same excellent quality I would've expected from any of them. The board supports normal 3 or 4-wire SPI connectivity, and all of the common Arduino and IDF libraries support these out-of-the-box. So, really, its just a matter of wiring it up and running a little bit of sample code to get going with them. The one "weird" thing with the one I received -- out of probably twenty Waveshare displays I've bought over the years, this was the first one to come without a test image on it. I kind of suspect that may mean I was shipped a returned item and not a new one, but I suppose its possible they've stopped doing that. One thing to note, for people wanting to build a project using e-paper -- these three color displays are *extremely* slow to update. Like 10-20x slower than the 2-color black-and-white versions. So, if you aren't pretty sure you need the accent color (generally red or yellow), stick with the black-and-white. The end-user experience of these is pretty mediocre because of the 10-15 seconds an update takes, flashing over and over during the entire time. I only use these when its something that needs to persist a long time and its unlikely someone is looking at it as it updates. There are some experimental code examples that use dramatically more aggressive refresh timings on these that can make it faster, as Waveshare definitely uses extremely conservative settings, but they often don't work properly or leave ghosting.Regardless, you can't go wrong with their modules.

Bien mais très long à rafraichir
The media could not be loaded.

Very fast delivery
I'm surprised! The product arrived 1 day earlier. The quality is fair for the price, no complains. On the Waveshare website there are some examples for beginners like me.

Sconsigli vivamente l'acquisto.
