Draper 44962 Engineers Metal Work File Set with Soft Grip, 200mm, 4 Pieces , Blue

For my occasional use these seem well made and reasonable quality for not a lot of money, file metal well and weighty. Used sensibly should last for years.

These files were purchased for general metal working and more specific knife making. They cut well on all steels so far - 1020/1080 Damascus probably being the hardest - and perform as I required them to. They are comfortable in the hand and you can use them for a long period of time with no issues. Good price which always helps too. A pouch would be a nice addition to these files - even at an extra costs - from Draper but you know what you are buying from the description

I've had a few cheap files over the years, but the ones I've got were too coarse for the job I had in mind, so decided to get this set to complement them. I'm very pleased with them - as they're quite fine the job was fairly slow-going - but they gave a nice finish. I used the flat file, and the semi-circular file and I'm pleased with the results. The handle is comfortable, and they have a hole in the handle for hanging them up in the garage. They seemed to be the best option on Amazon for what I wanted them for, and I'd buy them again.

great set, seem sturdy

I'm not much good at DIY but I hate to throw something out when it can be fixed. This is the case of my lawnmower blade which was dull after a few years of abuse and it turns out that these files are about the same price as a new blade. I watched a Youtube video showing how to sharpen and check the balance of a generic blade and used the large flat file to do the same. It worked really well and although the blade still isn't perfect the grass looks more like it's been cut that ripped apart.

Excellent tools, just the job for the main 4 files you might need. Robust build and comfortable handles make these easy to use with good results Don't forget to clean them regularly with an off cut of copper pipe to keep them in good order and ready for their next job. The copper pipe, when scraped in line with the grooves of the file makes its own grooves [VVVVV] and cleans out the debris -simples!

I have used the flat and half round so far. They got the job done and the handles are nice and grippy, however 5mins into using the half round file the top came away from the handle, it fell into the hole I was filing and it took me 10mins to get it back out, so a bit annoying.

Son unas limas muy robustas a un precio genial. El mango es bimateria (plástico-goma), de cierto calibre, por lo que tiene muy buen agarre. La calidad del acero parece buena. Recomendables 100%

Bonne lime, bien épaisse, bien rigide, ideal pour travailler l'alu, ou le carbone voir limer un peu d'acier. Le manche est de bonne qualité. Les outils sont lourds

Super Qualität, liegt gut in der Hand, sauber verarbeitet, so wie es sein soll! Kann ich nur empfehlen, würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen!!!
