Perfect for fitting a 2nd SSD into a Dell G15 5511 - and this comes complete with all the hardware you need. (I made the mistake of buying a mounting kit too which was surplus to requirements as it came in the box with the heatsink here!)

Gets the job of cooling done but the heatsink is too long to fit with the existing crew bracket holes. When I tried the new one included it fits. Did the manufacturers intentionally make it longer with a longer bracket so you can only use the provided bracket with the heatsink to make it fit? It sounds like they are trying to make a third party provider for dell's proprietary heatsinks with their own proprietary dimensions so you have to use their brackets with their heatsinks. I'm not sure if I'm wording this right so I included a picture of the two SSD brackets with the old one on the left and the new one on the right. The heatsink screw holes only align with both other screw holes when using the new bracket as the heatsink is intentionally longer so that only the new bracket can allow both heatsink screw holes to be fitted in. Despite the fact I eventually managed to get the heatsink on properly when using the included SSD bracket, I feel like this makes the old bracket go to waste as I do not have a second SSD slot. So in summary, I'm not sure if I like or hate what they have done, but when buying this heatsink and the bracket, remember to use the included bracket as they are probably made so that you can only use the heatsink with that bracket.

Put a ssd in secondary slot on my Dell. Screws that came with it tighten down. Adhesive on thermal pad was fine and memory card doesn't get hot. Would highly recommend.

Installed a second 1tb m.2 SSD in my Alienware M15 R6 and it all went in without a hitch. It's a little frustrating that this has to be ordered after the fact a fuss has to be raised with Dell/Alienware to get one for free. Having ordered this and a heat shield for about a total of $40 extra was a big bummer. 3 stars because it is a no frills piece of hardware and doesn't do anything special other than its job. I suggest ordering it here to get it faster and to save you the headache and time of dealing with support.

Was slightly nervous about buying this newly released device, but I couldn't be happier. This product looks OEM from Dell as a natural part of the laptop if Dell actually made these. Setup took a few seconds - I was able to slide the bracket onto the empty bracket slot within a few seconds. No need to bend the bracket so it'd fit like another product I almost bought - it naturally slides and clicks on. My samsung evo 970 fit perfectly and the screw securely holds it in place (needs 2.0 screwdriver just like the screws for the laptop base cover).
