What does the nib look like after long use?

So the nib does flatten over time if you use one side or the other for a long period of time. However this last a lot longer than an average pencil and the nibs are easily replaceable. A whole of 20 nibs or so is like five bucks.

If they're infinite why do they have to be replaced?

I believe it says it takes place of 159 pencils (or something like that) and maybe the infinite is you don’t have to sharpen them.
