Honest review from a novice- best tent ever.
Best tent ever. I never leave amazon reviews but I needed to share my experience as I found tent shopping very stressful!I purchased this tent for a 4 night trip to Silverstone in July 24. I was going on my own, I hadn't camped since I was 12 & was clueless to what I needed and how to put up a tent. This tent is worth every penny and more.Firstly the tent is super easy to put up. I'm 5ft1 was on my own & managed to put the tent up quite quickly with no issues. I did practice twice at home, instructions fairly clear. Its light weight to carry and transport. The main thing - durability. This tent was one of the few that survived the worst downpour & storms last July. For content It was thundering, severe winds of 40 mph+ & the camp side flooded - a lot of people actually had to go home because their tents were submerged in water but this little tent didn't leak or collapse!! Very expensive tents ended up getting abandoned and the air tents collapsing. The wind was so bad the corporate clamping tents blew away but not this thing!! Im still in disbelief that it didn't flood! Now if a review says the tent leaked there's one of two reasons. Either 1. It was damaged prior to putting it up. 2. It wasn't put up right. As with all tents I would recommend sitting it on an extra groundsheet. The only issue I had was water coming into the entrance mat because theres a small gap but thats a design flaw on a lot of tents. But if youre looking for a festival tent this is the one! Sizing wise it is small. Two adults will only just fit in comfortably, I'd recommend sizing up if you have a lot of bags or don't have anywhere else to put clothes (i.e a car).

Great Value Tent, Kid-Approved!
The Coleman Darwin tent was delivered quickly and in perfect condition, and it’s been a fantastic addition to our family camping gear. It’s super easy to pitch, waterproof, and ideal for weekend trips. My two young sons were thrilled when it arrived—they couldn’t wait to set it up and turned it into their own little fort in the garden. They even begged to sleep in it that very night! The front porch area is great for keeping their backpacks and muddy boots out of the main space. Solid build, good ventilation, and excellent value—we’re really pleased with it.

Fantastic space, easy set up
Used for the first time weekend just gone with a friend. First time setting up did take us around 20 minutes as not experts, but both agreed next time would take half that time. Space inside is superb, snug for 4 people but used as 2 for this stay and so much spare room. Porch fantastic for storage/bags. Ventilation is OK but main priority is keeping rain out which it certainly is after we endured a 30 min heavy downpour. Would advise on eye-mask for sleeping as not built great to keep sun out. Fully recommend for all you first time campers as very affordable option for features included!

Good value tent
Really pleased with this tent. I am a solo camper with a dog. Really easy to put up. It might be a tight squeeze for 3 adults but ok for 2 + child. Gave me and the dog lots of room, plus our stuff. Chose it for the size, the price and that it had a porch groundsheet. Good ventilation as well.

POOR DESIGN, Flimsy, Noisy, likely to collapse. DO NOT BUY.
What went wrong:The fly-sheet flaps around in the wind, even when tied down and secured firmly. The tent poles bend horrendously far in any level of wind other than mild. The combination of the very loud flapping and the tent poles pressing down on my legs from the wind made it incredibly difficult to sleep; I've rarely had this much trouble sleeping while camping and I grew up doing this most weekends. Why:The design flaw is that the tent poles clip in to the cabin and cannot be threaded through the fly-sheet, meaning the only tension on the fly-sheet is provided by corner pegs and guy ropes. This also means that the strength of the tent is resting solely on the poles, and the guy ropes do not contribute to the integrity, only to keeping the fly-sheet from flying away (only just). The advantage of this design is that It's a little easier to assemble and disassemble (but not by much), and is likely best suited to festivals or the like. As an experienced camper, I'm ashamed to have fallen into this cheap trap. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.Can't vouch for whether or not it's water proof but I think It's hardly relevant as the tent itself is so bad that rain will be the least of your problems.

Great!
First things first: yes, we got water in the porch area (from one side only) but there was a storm and the wind was blowing really hard. Having said that. During that same storm we kept dry and cosy in the actual sleeping compartment. The tent is great, we love our space so we actually got the 4-person one for just two of us which was very useful in a situation where we had to spend lots of time in there shielding away! Super easy to erect, super easy to take down and pack away. Just fab all round. The porch area is super useful, during the storm it did provide that very much needed transitional space that's neither outdoors nor indoors. Perhaps there is something we could do to seal it even better but with the way the wind was blowing I'd say we got very little water in there! My only advice would be to not assume the porch is a place to dump any valuables or anything you don't want to get wet, but why would you?
