For many people this will be one of those products you don't think you have a use for, until you get some... Ok so I am a bit of an unusual case, in that I am pretty much *always* making, fixing or modifying something - so I bought some of this knowing it would come in handy at some point. I wasn't wrong. So far I have used this stuff to take impressions of various things to create moulds, formed handles for tools which (apart from the missing handles) were otherwise fine, and created temporary 'scaffolds' as a way of forming close-fitting custom car parts. It is super easy to use - just dunk the pellets in hot water, wait for them to become clear, then squish the resulting goo into shape! It is very firm to handle, and of course the firmness increases as the plastic cools so it is best to work quickly (you've got a few minutes at ambient temperatures). Possibly the best thing about this plastic, particularly for those of you who will be making moulds, is that you can re-melt and mould as many times as you like! Brilliant! Once it hardens you can cut, file, sand and paint it to create permanent pieces...just don't make anything that's going to get hot or your masterpiece will turn into a sad little puddle. All in all, great stuff with loads of applications and the remouldability (that's a word, why shouldn't it be?) makes it great value for money. Get some!

This stuff is fantastic ....i love it , and so do the kids it can be re used over and over again .Polymorph has unlimited uses, from prototyping new products, creating gadgets and toys to forming replacement parts and general DIY repairs. This is the strongest Polymorph available on the market and its immense strength makes its DIY possibilities huge. Adding colour to Polymorph or painting finished products allows an even more impressive range of shapes and ideas to be created.. Polymorph is completely re-usable, allowing it to become flexible again once heated above 62°C, at which point it will revert back to a mouldable condition, allowing it to be re-formed into a different shape or product. Polymorph is completely biodegradable in soil conditions and is 100% non-toxic. It can be coloured using our powder additives or painted when hardIned. I have even looked at you tube clips of people making temporary teeth out of the stuff, and fake fingers for Halloween . I have realised though that if you use a lot of it and it sets into a large clump it is much more difficult to re melt , so i advise using smaller amounts if you want to re work the stuff.

Very good product, the beads are workable almost instantly when poured into boiling water making it very quick to get started. Models are very strong, really surprisingly hard to brake. My firs thought after creating a quick test model was to try and snap/bend/warp and generally try to destroy the small figure i had created to no great success. Bending the plastic resulting in it bending back to almost its exact original form, snapping just did not happen regardless of how hard I tried. A really great product for both children and for university/college product design prototypes. The reason I took one star away is that reheating a model to reuse to takes far longer than expected, although the beads can be heated in seconds in boiling water, sculpted solid models will take around 15 minutes to become malleable again. I even had to change the water for fresh hot water from the kettle. The models I created were probably roughly the same size as an average computer mouse and required 15-20 minutes in boiling water to be sculpted. This in no way made me regret my purchase, or would put me off buying more in the future, but the time to remold models was far longer than I expected. Regardless I would highly recommend this product, but would advise patience when looking to reuse the plastic from models

I've added a video, I apologise if the playback quality is really bad on Amazon, I don't know why that happens. I don't think I'm allowed to link to external videos here. PROS: - Super strong. I tried ripping a super thin (1mm x 5mm) flat ring after it had cooled and it was really difficult, even with pliers. In larger pieces I would consider it basically "indestructible" but obviously it would depend what you're trying to do with it. - Easy to shape to almost anything. - No odour. - When cooled it has a nice fairly smooth texture. HEAT: It melts in water that is 50c, but then cooling time is a bit too quick. 70c water was much better, melts faster and malleable for a longer time. For my hands 70c does not cause burns if I touch it for a short amount of time, but obviously you should be very careful when working with hot water, always monitor the temperature with a reliable thermometer and never stick your hand into the water. CONS: - Takes a bit of practice to shape it in time before it cools, especially when working with very small pieces, as they cool down much faster. Larger pieces are much easier and have a bit more work time. - I tried to mix a tiny amount of white and colour pellets, in my experience it was nearly impossible. Even with the small amount I was using (probably 10 white and 3 black), i found they just didn't mix, they just cool down too fast. I warmed the same piece up about 5 times and even tried cutting it up and squishing it with pliers and I tried mixing them while it was still inside warm water, etc. Nothing helped, the colour just mostly remained in separate areas. Maybe I was doing something wrong. I guess maybe you can just use the coloured pellets as they are, but then you wouldn't have a very large amount. CONCLUSION: Very pleased. Well worth the £14 or so for 500g. Great addition to a maker's tool kit, but I doubt I would recommend this as a thing for the average household. Firstly the 4 free colouring sachets are very misleading, you are supplied with just a few grains of colour, so few that they don't even register on a scale, not the small bags shown in the Amazon images. My disappointment led me to check the weight of the 500g bag to find it was only 467g. The Mouldable plastic is great, but i feel like the customers are being conned (seems to be an under weight theme in the reviews of this supplier). If you are looking for Mouldable Plastic i would recommend looking elsewhere.

It's a good product the thermal proporties are activated by a freshly boiled kettle and goes clear, a great indicator of if it's ready to work with. Due to using a boiled kettle the time to work with the product is short lived. Better results are with an old pan being used to boil water and the thermo plastic has a longer work time It can be used to use as molds. but the detail that it can take of being used as a master cast is best for items that do not need to be used for Fine detail work. as the thermo plastic is rigid once set as well as known to stick to items that are being cast. ending in a lengthy time heating up pricking the small parts of plastic out of what is being cast. This product is great if you was using it as a casting process for larger model items which you can put a little release aid on pre casting. and always make the top and bottom separately or again you end up having to reheat and pick the whole cast apart over hours of lovely frustration

Purchased to make a part for a prototype - it's perfect. My specific need was that it could be molded, cut, drilled, sanded etc. and also preferably mixed with Strontium Aluminate (glow powder) to produce a glow-in-the-dark plastic. I am pleased to say that mixing with the pigment is entirely successful, but does require a slight divergence from the normal usage instructions, insofar that the heating needs to be a dry process (I used a hairdryer). VIDEO ADDED: Shows making a netting needle/shuttle for another project. Once softened, the plastic is very easy to mold to shape, and will accept and retain fine detail. The hardened plastic is very much like Nylon or UHMWPE, being hard but not brittle, and with a smooth finish. Once the granules are combined, the larger mass holds enough warmth to remain flexible for a few minutes, allowing little adjustments to be made. If further work needs to be done when the lump has cooled too much, it can be dropped back into the hot water to soften, where it will hold it's shape well enough to not undo your efforts, then the shaping work can be continued. The fully cooled and hardened material is truly very strong, with a slight flexibility (in thinner parts) that springs back to the correct shape even if forced far from it. Something to be careful of (other than the obvious handling of hot things) is its tendency to stick to itself when soft, and trapped air bubbles. The self adhesion is of course vital and useful, but if you don't want it to stick to another part, a little care will need to be taken. Trapping air is perhaps less likely under "normal" use, but if like me you mix any pigment into it, try to avoid bubbles as much as possible (if not desired), as once you've got 'em, you've got 'em good! In summary: this stuff has so many possible uses, I'd recommend keeping some in a drawer even if you haven't got any specific needs right now. But for the DIYer, crafter, maker or even for commercial prototyping on a budget this is invaluable.

I bought these beads after having suddenly lost one of my front teeth. I was devastated because I was otherwise fit and healthy and I had always been proud of my youthful looks. Now I looked like the old man that I really was. So I googled "temporary replacement teeth" and came across a few products that had very poor reviews. But I read somewhere that someone had used these multi morph beads to mould a temporary tooth. After a visit to Youtube I decided to give this product a try, although I couldnt really see it giving anything but laughable results. But it was worth a shot. I received my beads the next day and immediately set to making my new tooth by placing a few beads into a cup of hot water, moulding them into a vaguely tooth shape and pressing it into the gap where my tooth used to be. It was very white compared to my real teeth, so I put it in a cup of hot tea for one minute and tried again. I have to say that I was amazed by how good it was. You would have to look pretty closely to tell it wasnt the real thing even though I hadnt moulded it very well. If I took more time shaping them they will look almost perfect. OK, there are not many potential buyers who will be looking for a temporary tooth replacement, but for a product that apparently has so many possible uses, it seems pretty remarkable that it should do this one job as if it were made just for this purpose. And by the look of it this packet will make at least 1000 replacement teeth.
