Formidable beast, it's won many living room battles, it's shear girth is very intimidating, my 4 year old loves struggling to carry this around. It's well detailed very solid feeling and hard to put away, keeps the kids entertained.

Really big and well made. My son takes it it the bath lol. Well worth the money.

This was well received by my grandson, I didn't realise how big it was til out of the box, a very happy boy.

Great model - I’ve been looking for a good mosasaurus toy for a long time and this is perfect.

If anything, I am very much opposed to them. this one however is a jaw-dropping type of toy (both for itself and for you - the jaws on both will drop).It is HUGE. It is also awesome. It is the type of toy that can be given on its own and the child will not pay attention that other presents were given to them. It will steal the show and it will remain a sturdy favourite. My child, for instance, announced that this is the best toy he has ever received till now and I suspect it will be difficult to beat.This is an ideal toy for anyone aged 4+. Our uncle spent a good half an hour being actively involved in building this toy and uploading the app (which does not bring anything to life, if you were wondering - all it does is shows you some pictures and the animal in movement and gives you some facts about it; the animal itself is not synced to your device and won't move or do anything, and I find it better this way).This dino has a soft hulk of the body and rigid flippers and head and tail. It arrives disassembled and you have to build it. The chip that you have to scan cannot be removed completely and you won't lose it or have a hole where it was, it remains inside the animal.It is a great impressive toy, even I have to admit it. It is still not my favourite and I am not as impressed as my children are (4 being the youngest one) but they love it and that is why this review has 5 stars attached to it.It is also a great space/money saver. Get this one toy only and your child will be happy with it alone for quite a while. Believe me, we are spoilt for toys.

The media could not be loaded. Wow, this is a big toy!Who doesn't like a dinosaur? I think the ideal age for this toy is 7-10, it's big enough to look like a proper, serious toy, it isn't babyish at all and it has a hidden chip to activate Augmented Reality (AR) options on a smart device - a bit like scanning DNA as in the Jurassic World films.The pieces lock together really easily, but they're difficult to disassemble, so if you're an adult wanting to try it out before you give it to a child - DON'T! The flippers and tail are moved manually, so I guess if they're handled a lot or roughly then they may come away from the body, but I haven't been that rough with it. The jaw also moves so it's very posable.I found the hidden DNA code located in the tail and downloaded the Jurassic World Alive App. I was a bit disappointed as I couldn't really understand how to play with the AR, and I couldn't work out how to scan my creature's DNA into the game, but that's probably because I'm 63 and don't play that sort of game, I'm sure a seven year old (or even a five year old) would be able to do it easily. The graphics looked good though, and they use the characters from the latest Jurassic World films, so it's all really familiar to anyone who knows the films.Is it worth the money? £37.42 (as at 6 March 2023) seems to be about the price to pay for a film franchise toy like this, though to me it's a bit expensive for what it is, but then I'm a bit old fashioned.

The Mosasaurus takes up a considerable amount of space, so make sure you have a dedicated spot to display or store it safely.

This thing is huge when put together. Much bigger than I was expecting.It's quite heavy too, so not ideal for younger children. Both my kids love it though (13 & 5) and my younger daughter loved using it with the Jurassic Park Facts app. You can scan the pull up tab on the tail and it uses AR to make it feel like it is alive in your room!The detail is excellent and it has 6 articulated parts.The only slight complaint is that it could do with some drainage holes for when kids want to play with it in the bath (this is an underwater dinosaur after all!). It took me quite a while to shake out all the water and I'm concerned that it could stay trapped in there and go mouldy.Overall though, it's a great toy/model for dinosaur enthusiasts.
