Foam Windscreen Cover for Sennheiser E609 & E906 Microphone

Was having trouble finding a foam windscreen that would fit my CAD D82 ribbon microphone, but then I remembered the E609/E906 and looked up the dimensions. They are pretty similar to that of the D82, so I figured I'd give this windscreen a try. The fit is snug, but I had no trouble slipping it on the D82. It doesn't quite fully reach the very bottom of the grille, but looking at the stock photos it doesn't seem to fully reach the bottom of the E609/E906 either. It completely covers the actual ribbon inside the grille, so I'm satisfied. The quality of the foam isn't the highest I've seen, but not the worst either. Like most other foam windscreens, it does roll off the higher frequencies a little bit, so just make sure to account for that when recording. If you want to keep the mic as transparent as possible, you'll probably want to use an externally mounted pop shield screen.At $15, it does feel slightly overpriced for the quality of the foam, but the product does its job pretty well and there aren't many (if any, as far as I could find on Amazon) other options available, so I can't complain. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

These windscreens for the Sennheiser e609 and e906 microphones are EXCELLENT. Perfect fit and will keep mic off amplifier cloth or metal grill to eliminate any vibration, if you are trying to mic a slant-front speaker cabinet.
