Im am so glad I took a chance on this
This book to me is a work of genius and art. I applaud the editor, no doubt this took much time and study to put together. With the minimal info given I had to seek out and find the editor on Facebook just to see more pictures. I was sold when I could visually see a chiastic structure in the text. Anyone who doesn’t know what this is should get a subscription to Aleph Beta to know more about that. To have a Tanakh that sights even some of those visually in the text is amazing, but this edition goes further in its break down of the text. I took a chance while it’s on sale and wasn’t disappointed. That being said my favorite feature of this book is actually the commentary. It’s extensive for something like this and I honestly don’t think I’ve looked at one note and found it useless. The translation solid, I prefer transliterated names but otherwise solid. I was amazed to read the editor write he deferred to the Aleppo Codex in parts. As far as what I don’t like, it really comes down to size and weight of the book and text size, but it’s because he packed so much in. Other than that I’m not a fan of the Ashkenazi Siddur in the text, but that just because I wish it was Sephardic. But I was surprised to see the Sephardic and Ashkenazic lineage of the editor. I hope to catch then next part if it’s on sale whenever it’s released. I could say that if anyone was to ask me for a Tanakh Study Bible, this would actually be my first pick just because of the commentary. I would suggest to the editor to possibly sell the commentary seperate or release in smaller more portable volumes. A strictly 5 volume Chumash would be great.

An enlightening learning companion
It is a delight to study with the Sadka Tanach. Sadkas formatting breaths new life into the text, like a bottle of wine that is aired out, allowing the reader to notice hints and hues of layered meaning. His commentary is accessible, comprehensive, interesting. Studying with the Sadka Tanach is unlike any other!
