Woodnote HVF-80 8 Hole Fife

This is a great instrument for the price. Even in the hands of a complete beginner like me, it's got quite a nice sound (when I manage to produce a sound, that is!) It sounds pretty well in tune with itself, and being two-piece can be tuned when/if necessary. The only minor complaint I have is the position of the thumb hole: on a recorder, the thumb hole is 180 degrees from the other holes, but on this it's more like 120, which makes it feel a bit awkward. I don't know if this is standard for 8-hole fifes, or just this one, or maybe it's just me, and I'll get used to it. Time will tell, I suppose... [Of course, I could always plug it and re-drill it.... ;-) ]

Would be a lot better if there were instructions with some simple melodies that children could play included.

This is probably an excellent fife...just didn't realise that the 3 year old it was bought for won't be getting a tune out of it for a long time!

I had ordered this product by mistake - luckily Amazon refunded me, but also key me keep this product. I decided to give it to my friend since i had no need for it. He says he found this fife easy to learn and play. The sound quality is strong and the feel is good. The case and added notes sheet are also good to be included.

The flute is that bit to big and heavy so the Fife is perfect for my little girl at the moment. Great purchase and arrived in perfect condition.

Bought on a whim for something to mess around with on an evening. Comes in a decent little zip case along with a fingering chart. I've never played a fife or similar before so it's all learning from here on. Took me a couple of minutes to get a note out of it, just practice to figure out how to place your mouth/lips. Time to hit You Tube for some instruction video's....

Good quality value Fife. Note it does not come with a cleaning rod (no matter how many replacements they provide)

He comprado atraves de la APP y como he comprobado después, solamente en la APP la composición está descrita como madera pero es de plástico como todas las otras de lo mismo precio.
