Q: Would this hold 2 double ladders?

Providing they are Aluminium Ladders and you are Using two brackets, one at each end it should be ok. I am hanging a double 18 and other power tools. Just watch how much it flexes. I suspend the shorter side of the brackets from the garage timbers and use the long part for hanging stuff. I don't even screw the brackets, the shear weight keeps them in place

It says on the plug. I think it was a 6mm

Q: What is the distance of the opening when the security piece is removed. I have a triple aluminum ladder which would require an opening of 200mm.

I have a triple ladder myself they are heavy and stand out from the wall, I would not put a triple on this light weight bracket. Its OK for a double.

Q: How thick is the steel?

I didn’t measure it but it’s sturdy enough to hold my 2 aluminium ladders.
