Gtech AirRam Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

Well... we have had the Gtech AirRam for about a week now and I think it's fair to say we have given it a good trial in order to write a balanced review. First off, I wish I had discovered the AirRam 6 hoovers ago, because that's how many I've got through over the past two years. All of them have either been murdered by the children ( RIP the last one, Choked to death on lego), or they have simply lost the will to live..... much like me after trying to battle for an entire morning with a vacuum that weighs the same as a small family car and is equally difficult to reverse park. This little genius of a gadget is brilliant. It twists and turns with ease, ( a bit like me after a couple of sherbets on the dance floor) and it has so far coped with all our floor types and I can carry it with one hand. The charge lasts well and it is so small and compact that storage space simply isn't an issue ... especially as we are yet to actually put it away a single time, but we have been able to step by it with ease unlike previous machines which became quite hazardous. I will just add, I have noticed one or two reviews stating that it isn't so great on long pile carpets. Sadly, we aren't rich enough to have anything long enough to bury our toes into so I can not comment on this specifically. I also noticed a few comments about the noise. I personally don't think its any louder than the combination of our regular hoover and me swearing and shouting because of the aforementioned weight and reverse parking issue. Now onto my most favourite feature.... the dirt / dust collection. It is FABULOUS! Whilst I have always warned my children about deadly things such as the occult and black magic, one can only logically come to the conclusion that this hoover does in fact work by magic......I have no clue what witchery Gtech have used, but somehow it takes ALL the muck that my old hoover used to (reluctantly) attempt ( wheezing like a bag pipe all the way) to suck up and stash in its cylinder measuring a metre square... and squashes it into a space that is SMALLER than a standard size Ferrero Roche box!! And the curious powers don't end there! Emptied it today, walked outside with the 'magic box' in my hand, wind blowing, tipped it straight into the outside bin.... NO face-full of dust!! One final note, having ploughed through hundreds of reviews both here on amazon, and argos and trusted review, I also spotted a tiny % that said they didn't think it was any good .... now I'm not a technical person, that probably comes across in my reviews, but I think I am qualified enough to say that perhaps those people should try switching it on. Electricity is the way forward. Excellent machine, easily compares with the Dyson Animal ( which my Mum has and supervises my Dad using) but a damn sight cheaper.. which means more money to spend on shoes. Its a win win!

After buying this, I purposely waited a couple of months before writing this review to give it a good 'trial'. I can honestly say it is so good I wished I'd bought one a long time ago. I saw it advertised on tv and also read the reviews online before deciding to get it. Previously I had been using my henry hoover but found it increasing difficult to lift it up and down the stairs as I started to suffer a painful shoulder condition. I had hoped to have the airRam as a replacement to the henry but have found that I need both as this one can't be used on stairs etc and about once a fortnight I get out the henry so that I can vac all the carpet edges, stairs and other hard to reach areas. When it arrived I had not long finished hoovering with the henry but decided to give it go to try it out. I was amazed at how much dirt it got out of the carpets, even when I thought they were clean! It lifts the pile too. I use it nearly every day and it takes very little time to clean all the downstairs of the house. PROS AND CONS: PROS - - Really light to carry around/upstairs onehanded - Hoovers up pets hair and stray bits of cat litter (that my henry hoover just scatters about!) - Easy to empty, just lift of the front bit, empty and replace - no more dusty bags to replace. - Does a fantastic job of cleaning all my carpets and hard floors. - Takes up very little storage space, unlike a cylinder cleaner. - Battery lasts about half an hour or so between chargings. - No wire to get in the way! - Really easy to use. CONS; - It's not great at cleaning right at the edges, but then no hoovers are unless you take the head off/use a tool. - Can't clean the stairs with it, but I understand GTECH make an excellent hand held one that I might buy sometime. - The charger wire could be longer, it's a bit short I think. - Now and then need to turn it over and remove hair etc from the brush, but then all uprights are the same. I would recommend this to anyone, it's all I hoped it would be and more. I'm not houseproud but I DO like my carpets to be clean at all times, especially with a cat that sheds a lot of hair sometimes. With this vac I can whisk round in about 10 minutes and be done and see all the rugs/carpets/floor are really clean - then I can get on with something more interesting than housework!

Pour nettoyer toute ma maison. Cet appareil est formidable, facile a vider, l'aspiration est même de temps en temps trop forte!

Eignet sich nicht für Deutschland - mehr will ich dazu gar nicht schreiben. Vielleicht noch, dass der Verkäufer sich bis auf klägliche "Wir überprüfen Ihr Anliegen" nicht rührt. Offensichtlich irgendein Kiki-Laden - die Mitarbeiter (wenn es überhaupt welche gibt) sind völlig überfordert. Joanna Wolf

Una pasada. Fácil de usar y muy práctico, tiene mucha potencia y va casi solo. Evita sacar el aspirador cada día.

Es el peor servicio que he recibido nunca. La máquina aspiró en dos oportunidades y a partir de ahí aparentemente se fundió. No ha cargado la batería, ni hace absolutamente nada. He intentado todo pero no funciona. He escrito 3 veces y nadie me atiende, asi que te go un producto defectuoso que no se como devolver. A product that doesn't work, a post-service department that ignores all your messages to return the product until the 30-day policy is reached... an absolute embarrassment for ethics in business and for on line distribution.
