Excellent and adjustable
I use this lantern in a one person tent and am prefer it as dim as possible. With this lantern you can push the button to turn it on, then open it to go from flashlight to lantern mode. If you open it part way it only produces a minor amount of light, and you can get it to your specific liking by adjusting how open it is. Hard to explain but easy to use and very handy. I prefer it over my streamlight siege. Excellent flashlight mode as well.

Great little light
Great little light. Very sturdy and it puts out a lot of light for its size. I run it with rechargeable batteries. Small enough to fit in my backpack.

Love it
I debated over the regular or mini size for some time but I decided, for the benefit of saved space in a pack, to get the mini. (In orange, both because I liked the color and it was cheaper than the other colors for some dumb reason.)Anyway, I'm impressed with the amount of light it puts out, and I like that it runs on AAAs (vs AA for the regular size). Yes, AAAs mean it will have a little less power, but AAAs are cheaper than AAs, smaller/lighter to carry in a pack, and you can get tons of them for $7. Works for me.If I had to find a negative about this item, I would say it's a bit big around for my hand to hold as a flashlight. I can do it, but it feels much like holding a pop can. I anticipate using it more as a lantern anyway, so it doesn't really bother me. It's a heavy little bugger, feels well built and all, but if you're all about keeping your pack as light as possible you may not like this.Overall I like it a lot, and I may just order another!

Probably one of the best purchases I made
Probably one of the best purchases I made. I took the lantern to Colorado for a backpacking trip. Small, lightweight and I hung it with a carabiner from my tent to read at night, and could use as flashlight if I had to leave my tent. Was at 14,000 feet and no problems.

great camp but a little heavy for backpacking
very well made (materials and construction) feels good just to hold in your hands. bright light. Too heavy for a backpack IMHO
