Char-Broil Gas BBQ Advantage PRO S 2-burner Barbecue with TRU-Infrared Technology, 900°C Sear Burner, Cast Iron Grates - Ideal for Outdoor Cooking, Garden, Balcony and Patio

I spent a full day researching barbeques before buying this one. The Char-Broil Advantage Pro S 4-4 made the short list, and hits a sweet spot, having very good construction without a lot of pointless features. If this BBQ is the right size for your needs, and you don't want to spend a day doing research, then just go for it.We opted to pay extra to have it assembled for us, and felt the reduced hassle was worth the cost.In its debut, the BBQ cooked a lot of food very quickly -- chicken, burgers, sausages, etc. With the lid down it doesn't take long to fully cook the meat, while leaving it juicy inside (good flavour). If you use the 900 C searing side burner, it will give you a thoroughly seared result (darker, drier) -- so be sure that's what you actually want!Clean-up wasn't too bad at all, actually. The grills assemble very precisely, and the bespoke cleaning tool is well designed. The Char-Broil accessories seem very over-priced, however -- i probably should have purchased a generic cover instead, costing one quarter of the price.

Looks good, solidly made and easy to put together with simple to follow instructions. Cooks steaks perfectly on the sear plate, chicken cooked on the main grill remains juicy and moist a promised. Still get slightly uneven heat distribution but you learn where the hotter and cooler spots are quite quickly. Better cooking results than a Weber which was nearly 3 times the price. Time will tell how long it lasts but can’t beat the cooking results or the purchase price at the moment.

Had this for almost a year now. Excellent BBQ - plenty of space on the grill. Solid when built (which to be fair did take a few hours! But you only need to do it once)Cleaning has been a breeze.Searing station is great for steaks.

Great piece of kit, but could be so much better. Package arrived undamaged, unpacked everything and discovered that the left side panel was damaged; must have been damaged before it was packed because the packaging was not damaged, Managed to straighten the panal sufficiently to fit it. The on line instructions for building it were good, but its easier to fit all the panels together before fully tightening the screws. I thought that the control knob for the searing control was supposed to be red, but mine was the same colour as the other controls. Design seams good, but I cannot understand why the gas supply tube and the gas supply to the searing ring have to drop down the front of the bbq, they could easily be routed to the rear and out of sight. Overall I am very happy, it cooks really good.

Item came very well packed i used the £5 service for the delivery guys to unpack and clear all packaging. Assembly was very straight forward if you have DIY knowledge...Cooking was a dream nothing burnt just take your time.Very pleased.

Great BBQ. Could do with netter weather this year so we can get to use it. But it is a good BBQ. Takes a bit of putting together

Don't get me wrong, this is a GREAT BBQ and the second time I have bought this model. Cast iron grill is great, the best warming rack in the business (stays attached, doesnt fall off and swings up and moves up and down with the hood). Love the side burner and have bought a plancha/griddle accessory that sits on top of that. Great for pancakes etc. SO WHAT'S WONG? well THIS SELLER DOES NOT SUPPLY THE ALL-IMPORTANT PROPANE HOSE AND REGULATOR.... So having waited 2 weeks for it to arrive, put it all together I then discovered that it has no hose/regulator so had to spend another £20 and wait another 2 weeks to use it....The other I bought new off e-Bay and it came complete...

Well made and easy to put together. Very solid with good quality materials used.The only downside is that as a European model it is designed for the Euro gas bottles.The largest UK bottle that will fit (under) is 6KG, there is also a round hole that the bottle sits in, but the UK gas bottles don’t sit level. However, I fixed this by using a round piece of wood (I happened to have a Lazy Susan for cheese, etc. which fitted perfectly).Also you’ll need to get a new bottle adapter as the one provided doesn’t fit UK bottles. But if you have Go Outdoors near you they sell the adapters and gas. They are far cheaper than B&Q
