Henckels Silvano 45-Pc Flatware Set, 18/10 Stainless Steel

I’ve ordered two sets of this silverware now. I have had a few of the knives show small rust spots, but the rest looks pristine. I throw it in the dishwasher (with very hard water) and haven’t had any issues. The steel seems to be good quality and the set is great for daily use.

I am on a perpetual hunt/buy for flatware like when I was a kid--good quality but not sized as if for giants or pretend Europeans. The first set I bought when married was an excellent quality Oneida set where all the weight was in the handles and the knives would fly off the plates like magic to the floor. I have since then bought literally dozens of sets, mostly "vintage" bought as NOS as well as contemporary sets. The contemporary sets are all outsized and I don't like them. This set is the best modern one I have found. The size is not silly and their finish is excellent. They are "light" but pick one up and try to flex it--they are very firm and substantial then. I have had no problems with rust OR staining (which on some sets is mistaken as "rust", also never use any lemon products on flatware).

I like this set. My old set was very old and looked worn so I was looking for something new. Quality silverware can be expensive. So I decided to trust this famous brand. Some other reviewers mention that these don't seem very sturdy and bend. I would agree that the forks and spoons look and feel a little dainty. They are also a tiny bit shorter than my old set. However, the knives are heavier and despite their light weight I cannot bend the spoons and forks. They perform well in my dishwasher with very little water staining. I like using them because they have very smooth edges and don't dig into my fingers like some cheaper silverware does.

I recently purchased this knife set, and I couldn't be happier with it. The knives are extremely sharp, well-balanced, and comfortable to hold, making food preparation much easier and more enjoyable. I absolutely loved this silverware when I got it. It’s attractive, nice weight and edges not sharp. Unfortunately after only using for a fairly short time I found rust spots on two of my knives. That’s just unacceptable. I thought I was getting decent quality silverware but no. Very disappointed as I really loved it.

After our kids moved out, we decided to upgrade our silverware. These are well made and on the heavy side. I have been using them for several months now and they are run through the dishwasher everyday. They are still just as shiny as the day they arrived. The forks are bigger than most forks you find on the market. The spoons are solid and do not bend at all. I can't say enough good things about this set. I am actually going to be buying another set before the holidays.

They look great, but are (imo) way too light. Feels cheap compared to the current set I have from the same brand.

Overall looks good, but after first dish washing on one knife appeared small rusty dots. Hope it is just one defective knife but not overall problem with quality

These are good quality, but not super heavy. I won't know about longevity and durability for a while yet but after a week, we love the set.

La cubertería tiene un muy buen acabado espejo, muy uniforme y sin asperezas. Me gustan los tenedores angostos y los tazones redondos de las cucharas. Los tenedores y las cucharas pesan menos pero tienen un buen equilibrio de peso y no se doblan, lo que significa que el acero del interior es muy duro y de buena calidad. Las he metido en el lavavajillas muchas veces y salen relucientes y sin manchas. Este conjunto satisface nuestras necesidades y durará mucho tiempo. ¡Cliente muy feliz!
