It's good quality foam.
It's great foam as far as foam goes. It stings every time I buy this stuff because of it's price, but it is what it is, right? I ordered the wrong thickness so I haven't used it, but it'll be fine for another project.

Attic Hatch insulation
I had an attic hatch that was routinely showing high 90s temperature in the daytime. The hatch was 1/2 inch plywood, no insulation on the back. I got the foam to glue to the back to serve as insulation. Used foam glue to attach to the plywood. Make sure you use foam glue or you may dissolve the foam. I thought I might need a double layer, 4 inch thick. After the 2 inch layer I took the temperature over several days and found 2 inch was sufficient to insulate the attic hatch to the same temperature as the ceiling. Very easy to work with, cut with small hand hobby saw. Much easier to buy from Amazon and have delivered than go to a hardware store and have to buy a 4x8 sheet of foam insulation.

Fits well and is great quality
We needed this to put behind our RV refrigerator to help insulate it from the sun beaming on the side of our 5th wheel. The 2 pieces fit exactly as needed and seemed to be made of high quality insulation. It helps our refrigerator not to run as much in the hot FL sun
