Great product for the price!
They work great, we have several in our church to broadcast the sermon to various other rooms.

Two malfunctioning units
I bought two of these units. One unit powered up, but would not show up on network or output video(tried several displays and hdmi cables). On one occasion was able to get a splash screen, but only momentary and then no signal. The second unit would not power up at all. Didn't test them until outside of return window. Will have to see how good the warranty process works.

Makes it easier to run Ethernet than SDI
We bought one of these for our church to run a display in the lobby for announcements. We have a Mac mini that allows for two outputs and this allows us to add another one really easy. It runs through our normal network (probably not recommended but we have a small footprint). We run an NDI output from ProPresenter and set the announcement layer on it. Sometimes it seems a bit finicky, and I think the order in which you turn things on may matter, but 9/10 times it just picks up the signal no problem.

Good product, but no factory reset
I now have three of these units. They work great and seem to be handle decoding any NDI signal sent to them. They automatically detect the capability of the HDMI output device and they send a beautiful picture. My gripe is that the unit has no factory reset capability. I found out the hard way why this is important. On two of my devices my password was destroyed when I did a firmware update. This left the unit a brick (temporarily). I wan unable to connect to it. When this happened the first time, I thought it was my fault and that I made a mistake setting the password. However, when it happened the second time and it was right after a firmware update (and I was able to connect after changing the password and before I updated the firmware) I knew it was a problem caused by the firmware update. For their part, support was great each time. They set up a time and remote connected to my system. They then were able to log in using a terminal program with a master password they won't share (for obvious reasons) and reset the password. While this worked and I have had no issues since, I would have been able to avoid the hassle of contacting them, and setting up a remote session if only the password had not been corrupted. In each case, I was unable to use the device for several days. All could have been avoided by putting in a factory reset button or a factory reset procedure.

Multiple DOA units
Purchased two, both were DOA. Tried multiple cables, monitors, power supplies. Unit shows a light, but no display on any monitor, and no network connectivity.

Fix to LAG or Glitchy Audio / Video
For those complaining about the audio and video lag, it's more than likely due to their network structure, NOT the BirdDog device. Your network switch must be able to handle AV or else it will not work smoothly. BirdDog even recommends using the Netgear AV 4250. There is absolutely nothing wrong with these units. They work beautifully!

Tiny and works well
Easy to configure, physically very small, works well.

I really, really wanted to like this, but...
I had 4 of these units. I'm only sending 1080p HD video in 60fps, not even 4K and yet, the video is basically NEVER smooth on any units. All units directly connected to a 10G network right next to the video source. I can't get smooth video playback, it just stops for a second from time to time, very laggy. It just seems to be too slow to process the video properly. I tried to render the same video sources on my mobile phone, also on other computers on the same network, and even over wifi, it was butter smooth. I really like the units, the price, the web UI - but unfortunately, its unprofessional. Maybe with slower framerate it could work better - who knows. Unfortunately, I have to return and keep looking for a better product.

I bought four of these units and half of them did not work. I contacted the manufactuer and they had me try several things and finally told me to return them to Amazon. I returned the 2 bad ones and was refunded 6% of what I paid for them. AED100 refund. I paid AE1538.61. I would not recommend that you do business with them. Bad quality products and crooked.
