Dorman 42408 Round Headlamp Retaining Ring For 7 In. Headlight Universal Fit

I used these on my 69 Dodge Dart to install aftermarket led. As many have noted, the rings were tight and wouldn’t slip over. A simple work around, was to remove some of the edge where it sits around the light. Take your time. They will work.

Nice and tight against the glass, nice chrome look, better quality than original as the original was tacked on to the tabs and this is a solid piece. It’ll be put to the test cause of the potholes on these dirt roads (Seldovia Alaska). 1979 Chevy bonanza (c-10).

Love that these are made from one piece of metal. Had both of mine break that had the tack welded tabs. They have more tabs than you need, but I could bend them back and forth to break them off. Worked great for my 1978 G30 Van

Does not fit a 7" headlight, nor does it line up with the Jeep TJ mounding holes. May be good for other vehicles but amazon said that this would fit my vehicle and it does not. Will be returning.

Fits 7" headlight but had to remove 3 of the mounting tabs to fit in my application on a 1975 Camaro. Very nice piece and tabs are made out of same piece of metal so none are wielded on

I don't believe I couldve gotten a better product for the small price I had to pay. Each one was less than the price of breakfast. I dont see any imperfections in the quality of the product. The thing that I really like is the rings are "solid/continuous" , unlike the originals that were made in one piece but had the joint which made them easy to bend. The only downfall, which isn't in craftsmanship, was one of the rings came without mounting screws from where the glue seperated from the plastic / cardboard and they must've fallen out during packaging. But I'm more than certain the "seller" will make it right once I contact them and let them know. Still 5 stars.....TOP DOLLAR MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP FOR A GREAT LOW PRICE!!!

All of the mounting holes did not match

Quality component. My original retaining ring from 1977 finally broke. This one is a university fit. It has mounting holes all around it to ensure it works with your vehicle. My original retaining rings weren’t tight enough to keep the light from rotating but these ones are

Extra tabs allowed it to fit my 75 Pontiac. Very tight fit on headlight - had to very carefully compress ring. Not original style screws but the longer screws allowed me to compress fit over headlight. Needed alignment afterwards.

Does not fit 78-81 Camaro.
