The screen could be brighter need to be close to see the reading

This item seemed like a really good idea until I read that it should go directly into a socket, not an extension lead. I couldn’t read it with it being almost on the floor and I not being the most mobile of old ladies. So, it sits languishing in a cupboard, unused. Oh well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.

I've been using it to see how much power/cost it is for a Lay-Z-Spa hot tub.The only thing I'd knock it down for is that when you reset the cost so far, it knocks out the cost per KWh too - so you have to set that again. Other than that, it's been great!

Now I even know how much power my Christmas lights use!

Some surprising results on checking various sockets' throughput. So far I've recorded the power usage of my kettle, tv, washing machine, security system and cable box with a few shocks!With the rise in fuel costs this power meter is now an essential part of my toolkit. Fairly easy to use, it will give usage in watts, kwatts, amps and, if you input your cost per kwatt, the actual total cost of power for the plugged in time. I fully recommend it.

Very easy to use. Just wait a few seconds after plugging in. I found that some of my devices use no measurable power on standby. Also, the slow cooker uses more power than I thought. I now make quick mental calculations as to whether to use the slow cooker or the microwave when thinking about efficiency. I am still working my way around the house devices as I use them. Ultimately, it may end up in a cupboard once I have determined the power consumption of my devices or it will get lent out to a relative.
