Honeywell Home DC915N Series 9 Portable, Wireless LED Doorbell Chime with Push Button (White)

Had to replace my old mains electric doorbell when it finally gave up so after researching I chose this Honeywell one. The design of both the doorbell and chime box ensures that they both illuminate when activated, the doorbell in red and the chime box (flashing) in blue. (There may be a choice of colours). A menu of different chime sounds and peels are available (which sound a little mechanical) and the volume is loud and clear. Both the doorbell and chime box run on batteries (not supplied) and the option to screw them in place in order to secure them is available as these supplies are included. The chime box is also freestanding, allowing it to be moved for personal convenience. I recommend this Honeywell doorbell as I am very pleased with the result and the Westminster chime is lovely!

Great product. Great ‘Old School’ doorbell - but with extra features. Works well over long range. Portable - can take it into back garden and still know there is a visitor. Great range of sounds and volume control Great range of colours for flashing light. Great to be able to mute and have flashing light. Solidly made. Great to be able to add another doorbell and set it to a separate tune - brilliant. Also able to add security monitors too - again separate sounds. Great value

Good door bail and loud enough for every room in round of the house but sometime the door button can get stuck and ball will kept go off all the time!

Really easy to set up with C cell batteries and the cr32 for the button is included in the box. Volume can be set very high and flashing lights which is great for hard of hearing people

Works perfectly (so far) for my home office in the garden. I needed a door bell that could reach from the front door (UPVC frame), through the house and conservatory (total maybe 7m), to the back of the garden (a further 10m) where I have a home office in a wooden cabin. I initially ordered (and returned) the "Wireless Doorbell, NOVETE 1300ft Long Range Door Chime" which struggled to work the length of the garden. I appreciate that the quoted 1300ft (400m) is in free space, but it was struggling at 10m. Not good. Thanks to Amazon for giving me a refund. So I increased my budget from £27 to £49 - and a reputable brand (Honeywell quotes 200m in free space). It works like a charm. Very pleased. As they say: "Buy cheap. Buy twice."

Don't buy it. Initially it seemed OK. I had to reposition the light & ringer unit because of possible interference which might be caused by a nearby radiator. Distance from the door bell wasn't the problem. Soon I needed to keep resetting it to the factory default setting to try and get it to work. I don't even want to award it one star.

We liked the idea of having an doorbell system that was portable, and this item was a good choice. Aesthetically the clean & modern look is very pleasing, and it provides good functionality. However, the instructions are terrible and it took a bit of head-scratching to get it set up. Overall, nice item and would have given it 4 stars if the instructions were better.
