Bigjigs Toys Jar of Lacing Beads and Laces - Threading Beads Activity Toys

Bought for my 2.5 year old daughter. Ideal in terms of price. She knew exactly what to do and had a lot of fun threading the beads to make a necklace - threads a good length so that the beads don't fall off the end. She also stacked them up in towers, and we sorted for colours, shapes etc. Beads well made, threads sturdy, container robust with handle that she can easily use and carry. Had been a little put off by previous review that stated beads snagged on thread, but decided to give it a go because price was good. We did not experience same problem, the beads are very well made and smooth, but would note that the more oval shaped beads are quite long and she had to learn to hold the thread further back in order to get it though the hole and out the other end - that in itself is a good skill - after I showed her a couple of times, she got it. It's a great traditional activity that had her completely absorbed and doesn't need adult supervision - she was quite proud to be able to play completely independently. The beads are brightly coloured and later I found her using them as pretend food for her dolls. A hit and highly recommended.

Bought for my 2 year old granddaughter. She loves these beads & enjoys threading them. The beads are a decent size for small fingers, nice & colourful & the laces are strong & a good length. I like that they come in a sturdy tub with a handle. Really happy with my purchase & highly recommend.

We love Bigjigs toys. These beads are perhaps too big yet for my 2.5yo. The jar says it's for age 3+ so hopefully she'll play with it when she's a bit older. For the time being we just colour sort and stack them and also use the cube shaped ones to learn to count alongside BBC Numberblocks. Some reviews mentioned that the string catches on the inside of the beads. I too found it to be the case, but I think the reason is so that the beads don't fall off the other end of the string easily, as that could be a bit frustrating for the little ones.

These are great beads. Nice range of colours and shapes. The laces are good quality and the jar is great for storage. The only con is that the rough edges inside the beads can make threading a little difficult.

I bought these for my 2 and a half year old son to help teach him fine motor skills. 2 days later and he was pacing these beads like a pro. Very bright and colourful and the tub is sturdy to hold them. Highly recommended

This had the best reviews of similar items on Amazon. I like the colours and the variety of shapes. There are blue, green, pink, yellow, orange and red beads - 15 of each. Six colours and five laces. There is no pink lace which is a tiny shame.The main issue I have with this item is that the insides of the beads are not sanded down properly so it is tricky for small hands to thread them easily. When it is managed the beads won't flow smoothly down the laces when held vertically. I think this spoils things and was disappointing. I expected better quality.The tub is great.I would buy again if it was cheaper to reflect the quality or slight lack thereof.

delivery was the very next day, excellent! this product is fantastic even from 2.5 years as the beads are the right size for the little ones to master the threading skills. the number of laces is sufficient enough to practice different patterns so there is no need for any extra laces purchase. I recomment this product for all the little ones as threading is an excellent skill to learn in order to practice pincer grip ( beginning of writing and holding a pen).

Really good range of colours and shapes and nice and chunky, so easy to handle. Just what I was looking for to do with my 2 and a half year old, a nice calming activity. She can handle them fine and has fun threading them into necklaces and bracelets! 5 laces with it too, which I thought was good.

J'ai acheté ce bocal de "perles" car ma fille aime beaucoup ce genre d'activité et cela passe le temps quand vous êtes à la maison même 10 minutes ça occupe.Le kit est complet plusieurs lacets et pas mal de perles de différentes formes et couleurs. Le bocal aussi est très pratique pour le rangement. On appréciera également la poignée. C'est un jeu qui utilise la motricité de l'enfant ainsi que sa concentration.Il faut faire très attention car les perles sont ni grosses ni petites malgré cela un enfant peut le mettre en bouche donc toujours surveiller on ne sait jamais. Il existe des perles plus grosses pour les plus petits.Certaines perles accrochent le lacet car les perles sont en bois et souvent ce n'est pas évident à enfiler.Cela ne m'empêche pas de laisser les 5 étoiles car c'est un très bon produit de bonne qualité.
