Arborists' Certification Study Guide, 4th Edition

This is an excellent Study Guide! I took the ISA Exam and passed it three weeks ago. It is a tough 200 question exam, and it seemed like the majority of questions were based on this guide. This version 4 book has 116 more total pages, and information, than version 3. I bought both because they upgraded from version 3 in the course of my studying, and then I had to buy the new version. There is a lot of new information contained within the charts, graphs, and sample questions. There are other Arborist Study Guides, and you probably should join ISA, but this is the best ISA guide of all the ones I have read. You really (really) want to pass this exam the first time. The exam is deceiving, and the questions are difficult and tricky. I kept studying and taking the different available practice tests until I was consistently getting 90% - 100% correct. This book is well written, and has a treasure trove of information ready to help you pass the exam. All you have to do is read it thoroughly, and study hard! Good Luck on your Arborist Exam!

I have a future forestry major, and this book was a great introduction to the kinds of thing he will need to study, if he chooses to become an arborist. Really good book.

Very well put together and has references for other helpful material. Hoping to pass the certification on my first attempt.

It goes in depth in all the areas you need. Arrived promptly and isn't too difficult of a read.

This book is decent. There's enough info in the book for me to pass my ISA on the first try. The test has so much info but it's def doable and passable I recommend the book but try borrowing the book from a friend first since it is pricy

I haven't taken the ISA as of yet but I do own both 3rd and 4th edition and I can say they are about the same almost word for word. The reason for thr 5 star review is to say I purchased a new book in the wrapper. If your book wasn't in the wrapper then you purchased a used book.

This is a great resource for taking the Certified Arborist exam.

It the thing you need to have to get the cert. price is a little steep. Resale prognosis is pretty good so long as they don’t come out with the fifth edition before I’m done with it. Wish there were more of these used for cheaper out there.
